Sewbiz -- Bernina Sewing, Etc. told me there were not many sales last year and every year there have been fewer and fewer coming in to get the pattern or kit so they didn't bother. I heard that many thought the theme, music, was too challenging, which I find very hard to believe. All I know is that I am not a huge fan of fusible applique so those types of row by row will be altered if at all possible when I get around to doing them. Fusible makes my quilt too stiff. If they were for wall hangings I can see that but I want to fold into the quilt so I'll be folding over edges to sew them down to avoid that fusible layer. The row by row experience folks are advertising the campaign a whole lot more this year.

Thank You , I love the colors .
Turns out I was able to finish Coullmills’ second block before going out of town. Coullmills, I hope you like this one, too. It’s inspired by (not identical to) block 861 Square Crossing from the 1000 blocks.

Ok. Now I’m done for the week. I’ll be able to check in but probably won’t have my laptop to post blocks to the gallery. We’ll see. I’ll catch up on Sunday. Enjoy your weekend, Waves!

Good morning, Waves. It's quieted down around here a bit. Everyone prepping for Independence Day??? My sons arrive today for a very brief visit so I'm going to be unavailable until sometime on Wednesday. I'll catch up with you all then. I hope to have one more block to share at that time. Happy Independence Day!!!

Happy Independence Day!
Here's a question for you all. How many of you are lefties? The level of creativity I am seeing in here to me indicates that there are a ton of lefties in these BOOMs.
And here's a different question. I prefer a 60mm rotary blade for my cutting. I do not cut many multiple layers of fabric. Maybe it is just the rotary type I use? I've tried the smaller sized blades on the nonergonomic cutters and I am not as excited by them. Do you have a blade size preference and what makes it your preference?
I am about to get an ergonomic Martelli rotary cutter so I may change my mind about rotary blade size preference. It might just be my tool type....

annt59 -- your points match up so beautifully! beautiful color matching! such a great whirligig! Quilt in a Day ruler, eh? I gotta get me one! But first, a new rotary cutter. Martelli is having a huge sale this week so I'm splurging on that. https://shop.martellinotions.com/ Found out about it from "Whats New" on this board. Gotta love this venue!!
