Hello Friends, I'm back from Tahiti. What a trip, even bought some Tahitian fabric! (Maybe a future boom?) I'll post some pictures later tonight when I can resize them. I enjoyed reading all the posts and catching up with all of you, seems the last week was filled with sick husbands, broken dishwashers and beautiful blocks. Annt and Janice, love my blocks! Can't believe Thanksgiving is around the corner.

My what a day, sewed the 3 blocks and decided to take a break from sewing. A good day to play with my embroidery machine. Planned on making three different patterns. First I couldn’t find where I had downloaded first project. Spent about 45 minutes looking through computer but it was hiding well. Decided to just purchase a different design. Spent an hour and found 2 I really liked. Right sizes and correct theme. Downloaded the designs and both were much larger then the size I bought. Frustrating but just decided to hang it up for the afternoon, stood up and lost my balance. Caught myself and didn’t fall but knocked over my tin of pins and box of prewound bobbins. Cry me a river.

Arrrrgh, Terri! But much better than falling! Who knows what may have happened then. I have a magnetic pin dish and if I wave it over fallen pins, they all jump back on! So do the stray dog hairs on the floor...

Jayne, welcome back! Doesn't seem enough time has passed for you to have sailed to Tahiti and back. Can't wait to see your pics!

Terriamn, what an annoying series of events but so happy you managed to avoid falling. Whew! No bare feet for a while in the sewing room until you’re sure you got every pin. They’re sneaky little things.

JayneW, glad you are safely home. What an amazing adventure it must have been. How many days to make the crossing and how was the weather? Fair I hope.

Not sure if there will be time to sew any more today. Absolutely beautiful here, cool front came in and air is off and windows are open

Love the embroidery, beautiful job! It's just perfect with that fabric.
Time for a shower and then back to chemo center for some lab work and maybe radiation. See what the doctor says..

That is just beautiful, Terri. I see you got your embroidery machine problems worked out! And please send some of that cooler weather down our way.

Jaba, hope your radiation burns are healing. Best wishes today.

Good luck today, Jaba.

It’s raining here again, third day in a row. Solid, heavy rain that’s causing floods. We’re perfectly fine but the ground is saturated so let’s hope for no heavy winds anytime soon. Trees will be more vulnerable. Hope to finish up Joanelizbay’s second block today. Another new to me block I sketched out, source unknown.

Hoping everyone has a pleasant day.

Thanks Sew..I was close to the name of the book! LOL.. It has some really pretty blocks in it. Ive seen her "blocks" books too but never ordered one. I like buying them on Amazon because they have a choice of used or new! Love it when people post new blocks. Kassandra, I wouldn't have the patience to try something like you are! Beautiful. Terri, Ive told myself Im using this Saturday to play with my embroidery machine...wish me luck! LOL
