    wish me luck!

I bought an industrial straight stitch machine yesterday, and now I've got to move stuff around in my sewing room to make room for it. I also plan on going through some of my totes I've not looked at for a few years, and hopefully moving some down the road. I've got some that is not quilting related that I've hung on to for way, way to long (like two house moves).

I've got my backing in three large totes plus more piled on top, and it's very difficult when I need to pull some, plus those heavy totes are in the way of other stuff.

If I get this done now, I should be better organized when the swap fabric shows up - I am really looking forward to playing and making fun blocks.

I've done other swaps were you have to make the same block over and over and never had as much fun as I have w/ this swap. The freedom to do basically any block (that is the right size) and using all different fabrics some that I would have never in a million years have worked with is the best fun you can have w/ fabric! lol lol lol

Boy do I agree Kass, din’t Really enjoy making the same block over and over. I do enjoy making the same block in several different fabrics just to see how different they look

I agree Terriamn. I did the very well run summer block swap. We had to make multiples of the same block, although we could change the colors. I think I made 5 each of 4 different blocks. It wasn’t anywhere near as interesting as this swap. I’m sure there was a reason, but I never did understand why you couldn’t just make 20 different summer blocks.

One of the most frequent comments I receive about the Booms is the pleasure of working with a wide variety of fabrics and the ability to make the blocks you choose. I believe it’s the reason many of you keep coming back.

Looks good, Libster. Is your background fabric white or pale green?

My background fabric is WOW. I took this picture on top of my sewing desk under the four foot florescent light fixture hanging right above it. It was dark outside, so I wanted good light for it.
