Nice Juki industrial, Cathy. I sewed on one at my previous job.

I agree that most of the fun of this swap is using all different fabrics and discovering a block that they want to be.

Perfect block! I made one of my GGS's a baby quilt for his crib with scrappy swap blocks like this. He's two now and he loves his blankie. He sleeps with it every night.

On Saturday, I drove up to Asheville, 3 hours away, to see my son and his GF. (Looks like he'll be moving there from KS in a few months.) We went out to dinner and by 4 am, I was so darn sick in the hotel that I couldn't stand it and got in the car and started driving home before first light on Sunday. Talk about a long 3 hours!!! Got home at 9 am and went to bed and didn't get up until 12 hours later. I'm guessing it was food poisoning but maybe just some horrible bug. Happily, am almost back to normal so I'm finally getting around to updating you all. All f8s have been received except for those from Darcyshannon but I've emailed her to remind her f8s are due on Thursday.

    How was the party?

    Great block, Zozee!

Another block, Libster? You'll have a quilt made for yourself before Sooner gets their f8s!

Pretty Hunter's Star block, Cheesehead! Your fabric is so pretty.

Here is a block I got in the mail from Terriamn today. It's a side swap... she made a beautiful star for my plaids quilt. Thank you, Terri! (sorry it wasn't pressed in the photo).

Cheese---I love, love, love that block. I wish my mind pictured things so multi-faceted.

I'm glad you are feeling okay now, Janice! Driving three hours while feeling terrible is no way to travel, and food poisoning is the worst. When I get food poisoning I spend hours just curled up in the bathroom, being sick!

    Beautiful Hunters Star block, Cheesehead!

Terriamn did a lovely job with your side swap block, SBG! I'm hoping I get to work with some of your plaids!

You can put a 'bug' in Janice's ear...

    Yay! My fabric is sent.

I have been sick since 1/2. I get better for a few days and think it is done. So I have had a foggy head and resting more than normal. I mis-cut my background fabric because my muddy thinking made me come up with a different measurement of a F8. Has anyone done that besides me, cut a whole bunch of fabric wrong before figuring it out?

Anyway, I am taking care of myself and have a Dr. appt later this week to see if anything else can help. Super excited for Boom to start again.
