DIL is going to be in the hospital a bit. Her hemoglobin level is still dropping. they gave her iron today and waiting to see if another transfusion is necessary. Baby Hendrix is great. Hyde met his brother today and gave him a kiss. So thankful both are doing good.

Sewbizgirl, this one's for you. I designed it myself, inspired by the very idea of using men's shirting. Your piece of red fabric set the wheels in motion, so to speak. I call it "Suspenders."

Hav4boys, hope she will heal quickly and be able to come home. She’ll have to be careful not to overdo

I love my Sawtooth Star block, Hav4boys! Thank you!

We had more snow last night! I'm so ready for spring! Will it ever come? I miss sitting out on my porch swing and soaking in the sun.

we got a touch of new snow yesterday - but woke up to my digital thermometer reading -19.9 deg F, and then it errored out as that is the coldest it will read. It came back on about a half hour later so didn't stay that cold for long. Second time this winter it's done that, but it's a lot easier to take when it happens in January!

We normally get an early melt in Janaury so we don't have a lot of piles, but not this year so DH is running out of room to pile the snow. When this all starts to melt, it's going to be a muddy mess out there!

Here is the finished block for SBG

My birthday celebration has come to an end, I took Friday off(my birthday) and DH and I spent the afternoon and evening downtown, eating and drinking and stayed at on of the newer hotels. Then we had a wonderful room service breakfast and I stopped at the fabric store and purchased some material for a quilt (Hoffman fabric). Did some sewing yesterday when we got home and today we had brunch with the kids after early church service.
Now back to work tomorrow. have a great day, not sure if I will get anymore sewing done as I have to go to the fabric store again to get a couple of fabrics for the other blocks I have left.
