Well, my brother had his first cataract surgery and is still having issues. When he heals he will need to have surgery on the membrane behind the lens. He is seeing blurry and double - so can't drive. He lives a few miles from my mother's house and thus is the caregiver when she is home. She was scheduled to fly back the beginning of April, but will postpone until his eyes are good. We laughingly said that she can just stay here until we leave the end of May and travel across with us! (I got "the look" at that one!) We are more than happy to have her but she wants to be back in her own home.

OmGosh, I love it! It looks so intricate and time consuming. Of course, your blocks always are. Thank you so much.
Hope your brother's sight improves quickly. I can't imagine trying to function with double vision.

So glad I finished sooner and only have 2 blocks left for later. At 5 AM hubby woke me up to say we had water coming in the basement. Of course it had to be the sewing room. Had been prepared for the worse and only one bag with a UFO in it was wet but we had to move a lot of my things out of the way. Cutting table and ironing station are filled with tubs of fabric, running the dehumidifier and two fans. Today is supposed to be the last day of the non stop rain that is melting our snow that has no place to go. Can’t complain when others are being totally flooded

Oh no Terri! What a drag to wake up to. Glad to hear this is the last day of it.
