Kass, did you design this one completely on your own? It's mind-boggling, mesmerizing, meticulous, magical, and a whole bunch of other alliterative adjectives I could come up with.

Zozee, thanks and yes I designed it myself. I've been toying w/ the idea for a week or so rolling it around in my head and then worked it out on paper to make sure of the exact sizes since I was going to use basically the whole F8 w/o any room for error. The grey circle was a last minute addition b/c when I was designing it I forgot Klaws had the extra fabric piece she wanted used.

One or two others may get this block too since I have the size and technique in my head right now.

Klaws, Thank you for the virtual quilt show tour. The swirly soft triangle one with the build up of texture and color is so beautiful close up.

Great blocks everyone. I started today and hope to get some pictures posted soon.

Can you make me a salad with these? Very cute and fun. I got your eggplant fabric and am thinking of what to do with it.

now I can start on the boom blocks.

At first I didn’t recognize any of them as ones I made. This is the first swap I participated in on Quiltboard. I signed up right after I joined. Then I saw it, up in the top row. I made the block with the fresh green peas, they are standing up on end in the combination with other blocks.

It reminds me I need to get mine assembled too. Very summery and warm.

Gary is right, that is the first thing I saw was how similar it looked to the Japanese flag. The optical illusion is stunning.
