I picked out some more fabrics. The darker purple I will have to remove. It's a half inch to narrow. I will find another purple to replace it.

Good morning, Boomers! Happy January 9th. . Just a quick note that sign-ups remain at 8 for the 2 month group but the 3 month group is filled. (I kept leaving myself off!) I hope we’ll have a few more people joining us before sign-ups close, but you know we’ll make it work regardless of group size.

I appreciate the link. I have looked about everywhere but all the panels seem to look more like Desert Storm or more current soldiers. I have bought some from Esty that are more the "army" green Vietnam colors. I did find a panel of the lst Cav hat that I ordered and hope to be able to use it and I ordered a t-shirt that has a saying about Vietnam Veterans not being welcomed home...hoping I can pull it all together! LOL....Thanks for the suggestions, always welcome!!

I have a question for you ladies, is applique on quilt blocks or do they all have to be pieced?

You can make your blocks by any method you'd like to use- applique, pieced, paper pieced, etc. It's entirely your choice. As long as your blocks measure 12 1/2 inches square and you've reasonably tried to follow the owner's request, pretty well anything goes! Just have fun with it.
