Beautiful Christmas blocks, Irish! At first I thought you were saying those were 5" blocks... until I reread!

I knew you would be too nice about it -- that's why I didn't ask you! I loved the first block, but it just wouldn't have fit in with your other ones. It was fun to do again. Actually I really like this block -- I'm thinking it would make a great scrappy quilt with lots of different flower fabrics!

Irish Mom, very nice x-mas blocks. I plan to make a x-mas quilt for my Dtr. She bought 10" blocks of x-mas fabric. Have to decide on which pattern to use.

Hello out there - Even though I am working on three quilts, I couldn't help myself to throw together a simple dress for my 5yr old GD. It came out larger than expected and I finally figured it out. Do you know how hard it is to sew a 5/8" seam when you have been really trying to keep a scant 1/4"!!! She loved it because I put pockets on it - and added a handkerchief to go in the pocket!!
Time to work on another dress with 5/8" ---

This block is for Juliasb. She kindly gave me permission to use the beach ladies in the block. Most of those ladies were Polynesian but I found three Fla gals that go well with Julia’s fabric. My usual lousy picture.

    five more blocks to go.

TG- what a beautiful granddaughter and she looks very happy in her new dress! Those wide seams are exactly why I gave up sewing clothing after I started quilting.

MJP- love the block for Juliasb. Great interpretation for Florida beach with those beach ladies.

MJP what a great block, very fun Florida block.

In a very weak moment I join d a paper pieced leaf swap. Big mistake, very overwhelming and not fun.
