She loved it because I put pockets on it - and added a handkerchief to go in the pocket!!
Time to work on another dress with 5/8" ---
Love that beautiful granddaughter, and her plaid dress is precious. She looks so proud to wear it. I usually do 1/2" seams for clothing, and then let the serger trim them to 3/8". The reason for the bigger seams on clothes, I think, is so that they can be let out somewhere down the road, if need be. I worked altering wedding gowns for years, and those suckers have 3" total in the seams that can be let out when needed. And it is often needed.

This is really fun and will make the quilt even more "beachy". Great job with the colors, too!

But Oh! What a gorgeous leaf you ended up with. It almost looks like a real Fall-turned leaf. Use it for something special.

That is just one of the 12 leaves I have to make for the swap, 47 pieces and 10 seams.

Minnesota is absolutely beautiful in the fall. This is the first time seeing our maple in all her glory at the lake. We ran out there to double check on a few things and so glad the tree had already turned.

MJP what a beautiful leaf block. I too dislike paper piecing. Nice block for Juiasb.

Well thank you again! I agree it would make a great scrappy!

Klaws, those were great blocks, especially mine.

Kass, thank you for being so understanding. I hate making foolish mistakes like that. My plan is to make a second one in the correct size, I can’t bear to take apart something without mistakes.

I made one for Libster today

I did did not manage any others this week. I started a job this week after health problems have kept me home a long time. I’ll only be working part time, but the training was a full week.

I did find time to make a quick trip to the quilt store ( I purposely arrived just 15 minutes before closing, hoping to keep purchasing to a minimum. They were just shelving a whole shipment of beautiful new fabrics ). You may have noticed I use a lot of batiks, I didn’t even have any plain white before this swap. I only had one request I absolutely had no match for, but I found something I had been waiting to come on sale while I was there.

This block is for queenbarbie. I hope you can see the yin yang cats. My DH said I should call this block karmic cats. I was inspired by a decal on the internet
