Sewbiz, hubby also takes Claritin for chronic hives. He has been tested but they never found out what his trigger is

Janice sounds like a wonderful time and glad you were able to meet more of DIL’s family. I am off to a retreat.

Hello to all you boomers! You all seem to have been going through some issues these past three months - but still have made some awesome blocks. I look at all the blocks together and can't wait to see them in a quilt - I will be more than willing to take any one!
Looking at my stash and trying to think of what I could use the next boom - but the best is working on all of your fabric pieces. Keep well
Thank you to all the veterans and their families

Hi TG! Stash shopping is my plan for the next swap, too. Boom 24 will not start until after the New Year. With our grand being born next month, i値l be swamped but I know I値l want to do a little quilting.

Here are the 9 blocks, with the wild and scrappy white on whites. I still think different colors would have been prettier but I知 content with the aqua. I値l start QAYG in a day or two. I知 also expecting a large - for me anyway - 9 patch back from the LA. I値l have to trim it and bind it. There are a lot of projects large and small to complete around here.

Janice the quilt is too cute. You family is just getting happier and happier. Wait til that baby comes... you will just explode with joy! Hope you are close enough to babysit!

I somehow got an appt. with the dr. tomorrow, due to a cancellation! So we will see what he can do to help me with the hives. My face has been swelling too, around my mouth. The only chemical type thing I have been around lately that is different from normal is some Ivermectin for mites in my dogs ears. The hives persist... I haven't eaten any food that is different from normal. I'm glad to know about the Claritin.

TG, thank you for remembering our veterans. They are self sacrificing patriots!

We will have our blocks in hand soon, ladies! Yippee...

I was just looking at the gallery and noticed two new blocks made for me. I must have missed them when they were posted... Thank you Bibliostone and VickiM for those gorgeous blocks.

What a pretty baby quilt this is going to be, Janice. What color are you going to use for sashing? The aqua and greys are so calming.
Sewbiz is so right..you haven't experienced joy until you hold that baby and it curls those little fingers around one of yours. Your heart will sing.

Hello all. I made a couple Depression blocks with fabric from this boom and previous booms. In one of the blocks you are getting preview of the fabric I am using for the next boom!

Also, do any of you use a starter and ender project while working on your boom blocks? I started doing this free Now and Later pattern after about half my blocks were done and have already completed about 1/6 of the pieces that the pattern calls for. I am using up all my odds and ends of my WOW fabric. Not as stunning as Janice's use of WOW, but I am sure someone will love it. My colors will be more random since I plan to just pull them out of a box and not try to arrange the pieces by color.

As to hives, make sure they check your medications. It took several tries before the doctor found a cholesterol medicine that did not give me hives.

Bibliostone, love your Depression Blocks. I do leaders and Enders occasionally when I think about it but I make a lot of extra mess when I’m sewing 2 at a time. It’s 2 projects to keep neat. Your new Now and Later is lovely.
