I'm leaving for Memphis tomorrow to help with some babysitting this week, so my last blocks will have to wait til I get back from grandbaby time!! Woo hoo... bringing the outfits I showed earlier, plus I got each tiny girl a beach towel made. It's a cute mermaid panel sewn to a thick terry cloth, then quilted. During the non-summer months they can use them as bath wraps.

So here is a block for Annt59, called "Cactus Pot":

And here's (what else) a big star for Libster, called "Memories":

Oh, my first block for this group and it's a gorgeous star! Thanks, Sewbiz! I was not too sure about this fabric because it's different from what I usually choose. You just relieved my jitters on that point. Be sure to get some pics of the littles in their new outfits. I want to see their beach towels too. Enjoy your visit!

Letsew I totally agree with you, just think what we could learn from Kass.

Sewbiz love both of your blocks. Enjoy grand baby time and yes pls share pictures of them in their darling outfits you made.

SMglover sweet block for Biblistone. When I make the square in a square block it has to be paperpieced or it just doesn’t turn out right. No idea as to why

Good morning. More lovely blocks appeared overnight. Libster, if the two blocks by QBJ and SBG are any indication, your quilt will be gorgeous. The colors are so rich! The cactus pot is perfect for Annt59's fabric SBG. Nice!

Libster, I love your fabric! It was actually scary to cut it because it's so beautiful.

    Great blocks, QueenB!

Yes, I'll try to get baby pics in outfits for you. Beach towel too. I'm leaving around noon today... can't wait to see my little darlings, and my big darlings too!

    Default New blocks finished

I love to make challenging blocks. However I think I have made enough challenges for the day! Maybe something simpler for the next one -. Here is what I now have finished. Before I go into the kitchen to take care of last nights disaster. Yes, one of the deep freezers went down and I have a lot of meat to get cooked up and canned or lose it! Pork, Beef and Chicken. The good news there is after a good cleaning and defrosting the Freezer is back in business and began freezing up again last night so it was not a total loss.
The bad news is that I have to stop sewing for a while so I can take care of all the cooking. I am not sure if I will get another block made today. Here is what I have now.
