Sewbiz I love the block! Is it fpp, or did you really work with all those odd triangles?

Queenbarbiej thank you for the wonderful block. My daughter loves the orange.

Cheesehead that’s a beautiful block. I saw it and immediately thought “too many triangles for me to try”

Here are the 2 I finished today. For Jaba

and for Klaws. The corners look a little gray, but they are actually a pretty blue.

So many pretty blocks have been posted this evening! So much fun to see the block show.

Smglover, they were pieced using Angle Play templates. They make the half rectangles easy.

I know well the reason for making sample blocks before cutting into the F8's sent to me. I just counted, I have made 5 sample blocks. All but one of them I made without difficulty. Only one threw me for a loop and I had to do some added fabric only to discover I had it right on the first time I cut. No matter I ended up with 4 extra pieces that I will be able to use in another block, just not the one I wanted to make. It has been a long time since I did a swap and my biggest concern is my vision right now. Once I get all my blocks made I will go back over them and see again what adjustment, if any, need to be made. I hope everyone is having as much fun as I am! Now to take a little rest to the eyes and come back to this a bit later.

I saw a cool looking block on FB someone was asking the name of it. (no one knew the name) I have never seen one like it, but it is intriguing to me, I think I will have to draw it out and try and make it.
