Well, Ladies, I promised a picture as soon as I could commandeer some hold-up helpers, so here it is. This is for my five year old great-grandson, Axel. His big boy quilt. I think I'll hold on to it until next week. I don't want to put it in the mail with this storm going on. Thank you all so much for your lovely blocks from Boom 22. I know he's going to love it. I backed it with a mint green mottled flannel.

Susie, picking the pattern then the fabric or vice versa use to be a real challenge. Now the fabric practically speaks to me for a certain block pattern. If the fabric has a large print I like to keep the pieces larger and that limits the amount of block patterns to choose between. If it’s a small print and the sender is ok with more then 2 fabrics the possibilities are endless. For those asking for only 2 colors my brain shuts down and I really have to look at a lot of patterns till I find just that special one. The more blocks you make the easier it should get. Try to relax and have fun.

Libster Axel is going to be thrilled with his quilt

Great job on the blocks Libster. I'm sure Axel will love the "big boy" quilt.
I finally got the binding done on the huge king quilt for Bill. I'll take a pic soon and post sewbiz.
this is the one you wanted to see. Got a new Christmas quilt made and I'm sewing that binding now. Made a table runner to match for the coffee table and 2 smaller ones for the end tables. They will all have to be boxed up and mailed to Florida. It's making it a little different that driving

Thank you for the kind words. My Boom sisters made the blocks for me in our Boom 22 and I used Sewbizgirl's tutorial for QAYG to put them together. I love that method!

I have managed to get a couple of blocks done but need to get pictures taken so I can post. I have to confess, as a new boomer I feel a little intimidated with so many amazing blocks, and of course there is that small fear when making that first cut into the fabric! I don't know if it's just me but I'm having so much trouble deciding on blocks that will best use the focus fabric. I think I've printed nearly a ream of paper and spent hours trying to decide on a pattern! I'm still amazed that I've managed to get any done! LOL! Good thing there's still a couple of months to finish!
if you find a pattern that went together easy for you and one that you like, make it for a couple of fabrics. I’ve done that before. Amazing how the same pattern looks different in different fabrics. And having confidence in it before you start is a bonus.

Does anyone have the blue, brown and lime green fabric, 3 1/2 by 7 to sendme? Queenbarbie used it in her block for showbizgirl. I cut my 2 3 1/2 s as 2 3 inch blocks. I would appreciate it if you could send it to me.
