Here are the ones I completed the last few days. I think I'm ready for some regular square piecing.

Three of the last four blocks I made needed templates. Here is how I deal with them.

I use EQ8 to draw up the block, and then I print it out full size. I doesn't all fit on one page, but I only need one of each piece so that does not matter.

I label the pieces I need and cut them apart.

Next I figure out how I want to cut them, and glue to the fabric using washable school glue. I make sure I have room for the seam allowances, and I like to leave a bit extra on outer edges for trimming.

To cut, I use my "add a quarter" ruler and though the paper is not much, it's enough of an edge to use to line up the ruler and cut. I have a 12" ruler also, if I have longer pieces. I bought this for paper piecing, but now I use a different method and don't use the rulers anymore. Was going to rehome them and then started using them this way. It's so much easier than trying to measure and mark for seam allowance.

Now I use the first cut piece with the pattern glued to it as the template. I still use the ruler to cut the edges, but it's easier to line up this way, and the fabric template "sticks" to the fabric I place it on top of so I don't have to use any more glue.

Once they are all cut, I carefully remove the template.

Stupendous blocks, Macybaby! Thank you for mine.

I'm nearly finished... only two left to make, but haven't been able to get my phone to upload pics to my laptop. I'm sad, because I'm not able to participate the way I usually do, without pictures. However, it's a small problem compared to what so many are facing these days.

I just finished my second block for today and told myself I am glad that I sew and quilt much better than I am able to take pictures. I take terrible pictures but I have two more for today they are for Annt59 and Janice McC. It has been a busy Sunday Morning and afternoon. Now it is time to spend time with DH. Here are my two blocks.

You ladies are sooo talented. My house has been torn up getting ready to put up for sale, just go washer and dryer hooked back up and fabric prewashed. Now to decide on what patterns I want to do! Stay safe and healthy, Happy stitching!!- Christy

    Christy -
    click "go advanced"
click on the paper clip icon
this is where you choose your photos for upload, but then it gets tricky
they wont automatically attach to your reply
You have to maximize/enlarge that little pop up window until you see "upload" all the way to the right
    Click "upload"
, pictures should be attached. I hope....

Once your picture has loaded, you can upload up to 4 more pictures the same way. Once you are finished uploading, go to the very bottom of that window and click "close window" and it will take you back to your post. (At least that's how it appears to me on my cell phone.) We look forward to seeing your pix.
