Bibliostone, love the Star Puzzle block!... especially the snowflake print. Thank you!

Ladies, everyone's lovingly made blocks are exquisite! This being my first Boom, I did not know quite what to expect. Just looking at the Swaps web page brings a smile every time. It is such a delight to see all the blocks grouped together.

Here in North Georgia we've had some chilly nights. Saturday night we got down to 29. I had everything covered...even all 44 of my tomato plants! My cousin, just 4 miles a way, did the same. But his did not make it.

Hoping all are feeling well and staying safe!!!

Good Monday afternoon, Boomers. I hope everyone had a lovely Mother's Day yesterday. As I suspected, DS and DDIL brought the baby for a surprise visit on Friday. They only just left hence my not being around for the last few days. They kept me busy this weekend! I slept like a log last night and tonight will probably be the same. They are doing very well and the baby is very healthy and happy. It was soooo good to see them after more than 2 months.

I'll be sure to add the last few blocks in to the gallery shortly. Be well all.

Janice what a wonderful Mother’s Day gift.

Pretty much keeping busy here sewing masks. Does anyone have an idea on what kind of mask I can make my 16 year old granddaughter. When she wears the required mask for work she ends up with a terrible sew throat. I have made her several of the 3 pleat masks with a wire for the nose.

Weeeelll...I was scheduled to teach a Silver Sneakers class (for senior adults) and no one showed up. That part of the population, being the most 'at risk', will be the last to get back out I think. The gym was very clean, but mostly empty. It's possible that people didn't realize we were back open.

So I did my own cardio workout. Hope my peeps come back soon.

Mother's day was quiet since our state is under a pretty much stay in your own home order with no visitors I made more mask and finished some more this morning. The mask will be picked up today and tomorrow. I have more to get made this week for my doctor's office. I need to get on them later today or tomorrow. The car is in the shop so it's pretty quilt here all the way around. I managed to get a great deal of sewing done over the weekend and finished my Drunkard's Path quilt.
This morning I also finished the postcard for my postcard swap. So sewing has been pretty much filling my days. I am so looking forward to seeing all the blocks in this swap. This has been a lot of fun. Everyone's blocks are so pretty.

My Mother's Day was quiet. My son did stop by for a few minutes to bring me the cake he made for me. It was a lemon blueberry cake. Three layers...lemon blueberry cake top and bottom and blueberry cheesecake in the middle and lemon cream cheese frosting. It was really good but I can't eat that much cake. I made him take most of it home with him. He loves to bake and experiment with things. I get to reap the rewards.

Klaws, my that cake looks delicious! Lucky you for having first dibs on your DS''s creations.

Terriamn and Juliasb, you are dedicated when it comes to mask-making. I've made enough for my family and a few extras. DS and DDIL need a few more so I'll make some more for them and ship them up.

SBG, I hope your students are able to do some exercise at home until they are comfortable going back to the gym.

Reminder to everyone to please check in weekly even if it's just to say hello! Also, blocks are due in my hands on June 11 so there's less than a month to finish up. Please be sure to get your blocks to me by the due date and let me know before you ship. If possible, please arrange for your blocks to arrive here on Monday to Thursday. Now that we can go back and forth to the cabin, we'll be going down there to attend to it regularly. Thank you! Have a lovely day!
