Laf2019, love your first blocks! Congrats.
Hello! I was able to be fairly productive this weekend and here are a few of the blocks I made. More to come later, as I get pics uploaded. I was so nervous making my very cut, but I learned to relax a little.
Suzisew - this was one turned out to be one of my favorites of the group
hav4boys - I loved working with the bright colors and it called for a kind of modern log cabin feel.
marija - purple is my favorite color, I can't wait to see it when its done.
bibliostone - I attempted to make the shape of a beer glass. you can kind of see it...

Lum and Janice -- you both are right, I mixed up my notes! Sorry!
Barbie - Thanks. As a new quilter, I'm trying to makes notes of blocks and names.
Cathy - I know what you mean. In doing the Butterfly, EQ8 gave me odd measurements for pieces. I compensated by over cutting and then just cutting down to size when putting the pieces together. I am liking it though. Thanks
I agree with SewBizGirl, the show is wonderful! So glad we are posting as we go instead of at the end!
And Janice, thank you for all your work in keeping us straight!

Oh LAFF I can recall being terrified to cut into anyone fabric. And errors are still happening after many years!
Once I was doing a block and found out the lady taught at a quilt shop. Oh my - I was petrified! But I made it through. When I look back on the earlier blocks I find I really did well. Matching the colors and requests of the swapper along with 12.5" is the necessity. Difficult blocks are not!
I do love Suzi's block as well as the others. Good start. Now breath and don't rush.

LAF, thank you so much for my block! It's perfect I love it!
So many great blocks showing up! I'm afraid I'll be the snail in the group as I haven't posted one yet! I'm still working full time...no Corona-cation for me but hope to have something to share by this weekend.

Afternoon, Boomers. I’ve just finished cutting out Quilting Lawyer’s block and begun assembling it. Then I looked outside and there’s something very peculiar...sunshine! I had to stop everything and get a small dose of it. This day after day of rain combined with the virus and life outside screeching to a halt has been unsettling and depressing. But sitting here I already feel my mood improving. From the looks of it we might only have a few more minutes of sun but I’ll be here until it all goes away.

While in hibernation, I'm getting a lot done. Hubby went to the grocery store for me this morning. He planned on getting their when they opened to avoid crowds and have better selection. NOPE. Everyone else had the same idea!!! I only needed about 6-7 things and fortunately he was successful. Hope everyone safe and sewing!!
Suzisew and TravelingGram, I was in a mood to create my own block. So, you two got originals! I had fun with them and was pleased with the colors. Hope you like them.
My sewing room is not in my house but in my aunts little house just below us. We are on top of the hill and her little house is at the bottom of the hill. Thus I can't get to the little baggies at this moment to figure out who has the little blue print pinwheel block. Whom ever you are, I love your neat little print. It reminds me of something my mom would have picked out.

Bugaroo, I believe the blue print is Macybaby’s. Be cautious about separating the fabrics from the correct bags. If blocks come back to me in the wrong bag it’s entirely possible that they’ll end up in the wrong hands at the end of the swap.
