Another Christmas is over and I’m looking forward to 2021.

I wanted to say thank you all for welcoming a newbie into your group. I really had fun and learned a lot. I’m glad the final package arrived safely! Looking forward to making a quilt out of all the beautiful blocks you all made.

MJP, I’ve spent the last 4 years half the year home in AZ and half with my grands on the East Coast helping DD. It had its challenges but was the best experience and I really bonded with the grands. Have fun!

TG, speedy recovery to you and your mom. Praying for you both.

    Happy New Year, everyone!

Good morning, everyone. I haven't been around much this last week. I promised myself a couple of weeks of low technology and I'm trying to stick to it. My cell phone sits untouched all day long and I seem to have extra hours in my day. Very nice. I've been using them to work on some more pp'd Bonnie Hunter Wild and Goosey blocks although my sewing is still not quite up to par. Oh, well. My plan is to send out the blocks either New Year's Eve or right after the first. It depends on how this week goes as we have plans for day trips here, there and everywhere but it looks like rain is coming in later this week so those plans my go out the window.

TravelingGramma, I hope you and your family are beginning to feel better and that you three are resting well. Please check in when you are up to it.

Terriamn, you are very lucky to have someone in your family who appreciates and wants your items. I love my sons but they don't really "get it" when it comes to such things. My DIL has her own items from her mother so I'm wondering how to discard such things so I don't end up despairing over them.

MJP, uprooting yourselves for 6 months will be an adventure although a difficult one, I'm sure. Hopefully the pleasures and rewards you get from being there for the family will be all worth it.

IrishMom, love your Boom 23 quilt. It turned out beautifully. Congratulations!

MadebySue, you are welcome! It's always good to have new people in the group and you were a pleasure to host. Thank you!.

I hope we all have a Happy New Year and that it brings some much needed relief on so many fronts. Have a wonderful rest of your week, Boomers!

Irishmom your quilt turned out terrific.

Janice I was thrilled granddaughter not only wanted some of our family antiques but would treasure them. Her Mom has taken a lot of my mother’s glassware but rest of family has no interest at all. Very sad

i am trying to decide what to bring to Texas to sew. Originally I was going to bring some past boom blocks to sew together but after changing decor in bedroom I would like to make a small quilt to hang. Car is already packed and pretty full so need to hurry and make decision.

The Boom blocks are a great idea! Pack them quickly so you don't change your mind. Don't forget sashings and border fabrics. did I mention batting too.

Safe travels, Terri. It's strange to me that "Family" things mean so much to some of us, but not at all to others. Glad you have someone who appreciates things as you do.

TG- Sure hoping you and yours are on the way to feeling much better. ((((((Hugs))))))

MadeBySue-We love new blood joining our Booms. There's always something new for us to learn from you.

Sewbiz- hope your Christmas was what you wished for.

MJP- what an adventure you have in store for you! Ten years from now you'll look back on this time and remember it fondly.

Happy New Year, Everybody! Stay safe and warm. Love my Boom Family!

Janice- Give yourself plenty of time to heal properly. Our blocks will be good whenever the time is right to mail them.

IrishMom, great quilt! I see my block!
MadeBySue, so glad you joined in the swap this time. You will have to start being a regular. It gets addicting.
MJP, it will be an adjustment being with your daughter for 6 months but I'm sure it will be well worth it. I guess the term "snow bird" can apply to you but you will be going in the wrong direction.
TG, I hope that you and your mom are feeling better.
Janice, glad to hear that you are finally taking some time for yourself. You deserve it!
Happy New Year everyone. I will be spending New Year's Eve with my son. He will be making a birthday cake for me. I requested a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Yum! My last hurrah before the new year when I start to cut out all sugar. That is going to be hard for me.
