I thought I would be able to get started on things today but I think it will be more Tomorrow or Wednesday. I have a full plate right now with DH and PT and another quilt project that I want to finish at least the 2 blocks I am working on then I can put that away and start this project.

LAF, all three of your blocks are terrific. As much as I would like to take credit for the purple idea, it was Moonrise's idea first a number of years ago. She used this same fabric and requested purples. I didn't think it would look so good, but it does! Color is not my strong suit. I think i need a class on it to help me step out of my very small box, something Kassaundra would highly recommend, right Kass? (In case you are checking in occasionally.) Thank you for making a fine block for me.

Julia, yours is my husband's favorite fabric of the group!
Klaws, I have this same fabric. Not sure where it came from or what to do with it. can't wait to see your finished product!
Janice, I wasn't sure at first how the dark purple plan would go with your fabric. but you have a much better eye for color than me, because it is absolutely superb!
    Hope you like them!

Sewbiz wonderful news but sorry they have moved so far away. Is this your son? What enticed them to move to Iowa?

Yes, my son and his wife. Her family is from there.

Laf, thank you so much for my block. I love, love, love it!!! It is exactly what I was looking for. Lot of bright colors! I found that fabric at a thrift store. I got 4 yards for $1 a yard. Too good to pass up.

Jumping from Pumpkins to post the block I made for Bibliostone. When I saw her fabric posted, I made a paper-pieced owl. When I saw her requirements, I saw it was a bit different but she gave me the go ahead, so here it is.
