Here are two blocks I made from the Stitch Pink Moda block patterns i downloaded in October. Janice I sent you these. Most of them are too challenging for me but these two looked doable.

this Casablanca blue and cream block is for Macybaby. It was weird not to be fussy cutting this fabric! My quilt friend and I called it anti fussy cutting

the second ‘ Breaking Rules’ block is for SewBiz girl. I kept with only one of your fabrics.

i hope you like these! I’m getting much better At piecing!

These blocks are from the Cruisin quilters shop hop I did at the beginning of the year. I got patterns and some block kits for these modern blocks. It gave me a practice block for each of these. Janice I sent you the patterns for these.

Janice the purple and blue one is for you. The pink magenta one is the practice block.

The next Block is for AnnT . I was thinking of using turquoise in the middle but it looked better with Just coral. I may an add an applique in the middle if there is time. The second practice Block is from the Craftsy 2012 BOM.

Here is another Cruisin quilters block. The butterfly block is for Bibliostone. The second one is the Cruisin Quilters practice block.
Doing these practice blocks really helped me perfect the piecing for your blocks. And I now have enough blocks to finish the modern quilts with one of the cool setting patterns they gave us.

I have 7 more blocks to finish and even with a 10 day break I’ll have to take will be able to finish these easily. The practice blocks will be an additional 9 blocks. So I’ll have finished 39 blocks. I don’t think I’d be able to do this without stay at home orders so I think I need stick with one boom at a time!

MJP, you seem to have traditional piecing down, great points.

I am working on my last block and had to take a break. Talk about frustrating, never worked with such a poorly written pattern. Hubby has interrupted me several times to go through keep it, donate or trash it items. Think that’s the only reason I have any hair left

    Fabulous news Sewbiz

this was a fun block to make, I was inspired by I believe it was showbiz’s block in pumpkins. For some this is an easy block but with my brain turning shapes around it was a real change and I did it

Woo hoo is right. Congrats on the news. You’re being surrounded with grandbabies. Once again I’ll be living vicariously through you! Happy for you sewbiz.

Terriamn that block would’ve been difficult for me. I’m moving on to applique blocks now.

I've got all my fabric cut and ready to start sewing. DH and I are taking a day vacation tomorrow to drive around on our sxs in the Black Hills. Then Sunday should be a day I can spend in the sewing room.
