Thanks, TG. You're right, the time in daycare may not be forever. My SIL is working up the ranks in plumbing, and once he has his "Master Plumber" license he can go solo and have his own business. At that point, they will be able to make it on his income alone. When DD has another child, I think she will stay home with the kids. At least that's what she's been saying. So this could all look different in a couple of years.

Little Ivy had the time of her life today. She loved all the kids and activities. Only 8 in her class, so that's good.

Here are my last 4 blocks. One for Hav4boys, two for Juliasb and one for MJP. I hope they will be okay.
I am finished! I will be packing everything up today. We had a foot of snow on Tuesday so as soon as I can dig out my car, I will mail my package tomorrow and send Janice the tracking number.

Klaws, your blocks are great and really show the focus fabrics well! Congrats on finishing up. I don't envy your snow, tho. Loved it as a kid but as an adult it makes me feel claustrophobic! Sure is pretty to look at tho, if you can just stay in.

Hope everybody is well and warm today!

Klaws, Love your latest blocks. Congrats on finishing!

SBG, my DS and DDIL put my grand in a nanny care situation only two days a week. They started at one day a week to see how it would go. It's a roaring success. Charlie loves her nanny and her playmate, a little boy almost her exact same age. He's a bit more advanced than she is. She learns from him and he learns from her. Her parents are also getting a biz going (they hope!!!) and if all goes well, Charlie may be in pre-school almost daily in about a year. It'll be an adjustment but it usually works out well. Both my children were in pre-school for a couple of years but only two days a week to give me a break. They loved it once the initial anxiety they both had of a new place wore off. I think it's harder on us adults than the children!

Hi TG, I put labels on our/my blocks and credited you for the actual work. We're golden. I didn't realize immediately the problem so I missed a lot of them right off the bat. That's what I mean about it being harder. I've just not been focused as much on the swap and things like labels slipped by. Uggg. Computer work was also much harder with my shoulder. It hates me sitting at the desk with the laptop for more than a few minutes although it is better now. As for the future, I know I can call on you for help. You are an excellent work partner. Thank you again for all you did. It was tough to ask for help but you made it easy for me.

As for your mom, it's nice that she still has friends and family she wants to send cards to, although it's a lot of work for you. My mother outlived all her family except me and my family and all of her friends by the time she died and had almost no one to send a card to. I didn't realize at the time how sad that must have made her. It's good of you to help your mom.

It's easier than trying to fit the online zooms into her work schedule.
Janice...I think some of those unnamed may be your blocks!! Only kidding as I can not even recall what I wrote. Take as much time you need. Unless of course you want to start it and have me sort and send the beginning. Yes, this has become my life and sanctuary. I didn't understand 10 years ago, but certainly do now.
my mom decided she did not want to add her name to my Christmas cards but wanted to send hers out herself. Which meant I had to do all the addressing of envelopes. We are nearing the finish line. She reminds me of my ADHD son working on his homework!
Bibliostone...amazing always to see the material you find in your stash. Rte 66 no less!

Good morning, Flurries. No flurries here but some rain. It's a dreary day but a good one. Just caught some fraud on my credit card right only minutes after it happened and have closed the account. Woo hoo! It could have been much worse so I count myself lucky. I hope karma catches up to the culprit.
