It’s interesting what you said about your shoes getting “hung up.” I have a pair that have done that a few times on steps. Mine are going in the trash tomorrow. Thanks for sharing your very painful story, SBG.

Hi Libster! Maybe a requirement of the group should be to get a bubble suit before joining. Btw, I Was up in Asheville yesterday and we were looking at a house. Not quite right but we’ll keep looking. NC looks to be a definite eventually.

Oh no, Sewbiz you are the last person I would expect to take a fall. All of the exercise classes you’ve taught may have kept your injuries from being worse.

take care of yourself my boom sisters!

Sewbiz so glad your fall wasn’t worse but bet you ache all over. Give your body a rest. Imagine one of us taking that fall who aren’t as fit as you.

Love all of today’s blocks, they are all gorgeous.

I had a whirl wind afternoon. After much thought and plenty of tears my dd decided buying our house wouldn’t make finance sense. After consoling her I arranged for another realtor to stop in Thursday morning. Then I made arrangements to see a house I had fallen in love with on the internet. Hubby had a dentist appointment so a friend was going with me. We were racing around trying to finish 3 days of work into one. Then realtor called back and house sold this afternoon. I’m bummed but obviously it wasn’t meant to be.

Janice are houses selling in one day in SC? Hope you find your perfect house

Terri, it’s really hard to buy a house right now! People are willing to pay $30K above asking and in cash! Are you looking for a house in New England? Not Texas? I’m confused.

I wondered what MJP was going to say about my fall! We were laughing with the hospital staff because I told them I was the “fall prevention” teacher at my gym! I really think what helped me the most was that I’d been lifting weight since I was 50 (now 65) and that really keeps your bone density. All my Boomer friends: get your bone density checked and lift weights! It’s never too late to start. 😊

Thank you for everyone’s well wishes!

Terriamn, houses in my neighborhood are selling for much higher than normal prices and in a day. In Asheville area where we are looking, it’s much the same. We might just sell this place and move to the cabin for a while. It would certainly force us to unload a bunch of stuff!
