TravelingGramma - You always have such great themes for your BOOM quilts. You also put them together so beautifully! I'm sorry you wont be with us this BOOM but I sure am glad you'll be lurking when you can!

You introduced me to inklingo a few booms ago. I'm thinking about using her Winding Ways block for this BOOM if the fabric works well. Have you tried it yet?

MJP gorgeous fabric choices. You are stretching my design abilities already. What are you hoping for at the end or do you have a plan? Two baby quilts? A particular seasonal usage? Is the pink the companion fat eighth fabric or are we getting a fat eighth of Kaffe?

I'm drooling over your fabrics but need to start picking mine, lol.

TG love love your quilt, turned out fantastic.

MJ it will be so much fun to work with your kaffee fabric.

Mine are all cut just need to make note and put in baggies. Not sending the usual bright Terri colors but a muted floral.

I have been trying to purchase the forever padded envelopes. Anyone else having any problems placing their order

LOL - I just downloaded the 12" Winding Ways!! I haven't tried it but liked the idea that I can use the machine. I can never seem to cut shapes well with templates so wanted to try it! Will be watching yours.

    Hi Ladies,

I bought Marti Michell’s Winding Ways templates a few years back and got to meet her too (Paducah show). I found that even with perfect templates WW was one of the hardest blocks I have ever pieced. I made one small wall quilt and that will be my last! Hope you ladies have better luck with Inklingo. Let us know...

I will be trying on my fabric before I do it on anyone else's fabric. We'll see what happens.... And, tahdah, here is my BOOM 26 fabric designed to drive you all crazy while I get a patriotic President's Day quilt made, thanks to you all! I have no color restrictions. Be as creative with colors or patterns as you want. George Bush (the younger) is the last president on this particular fabric. My favorite, of the ones that are from my memories is Jimmy Carter because he was always very diplomatic and a gentleman and loved the natural environment. I know he couldn't get the economy under control, but his core values were and are the ideals I strive to duplicate. I'm glad he is still around to inspire me.

ibex94 - That is really awesome fabric! This is going to be so much fun!

I got my second Moderna shot this weekend and was feeling under the weather for a few days. I didn't want to cut fabric when my brain was fuzzy!!! I'm planning on cutting this weekend.

That's fun you mentioned winding ways. I was looking at this specialized curved ruler on Amazon a couple days ago. It might be the same block, but a different size. It looked like there were lots of creative ways to use this ruler. I haven't done much with curves.

    Here's the pattern:

    Here's the ruler:
AmazonSmile: Sew Kind of Wonderful QCR Quick Curve Ruler

I put it on my wishlist!

Fabric is washed and dried and ready to be ironed then cut. Baggies are all lined up to fill just waiting to know how many I need to send out. I am getting so excited!
