Hi again everyone! My absence from the board has been way too long! Life has certainly happened in here to all of you. Congratulations to the successful house moving escapades I've been reading about. That is pure stress and you all are handling it beautifully! Sad things, too. I'm so sorry. Babies coming home from hospitals, that is joyous news. I've been on a roller coaster of emotions for you all since I started catching up. The blocks are breathtaking, too! I am thankful that quilting has brought you fabulous team of folks together to share experiences.
And definitely VanBuren on that block, Jayne, as others postulated. Gotta love the lambchops! My grandchildren need to understand the broad range of personalities and political changes that have occurred in this country. Pointing out different people and giving them the current interpretation of what went on and how it influences us today will be a fun way to peak their interest in being a good citizen. Let's see what happens. Your beautiful blocks will help my kids grow! Maybe they will be interested in leading our country when they grow up when they recognize how to appreciate everyone.

It’s been another weekend of sorting, donating and tossing things we don’t need. I’m beginning to see the light at the end of this tunnel, namely the house. The garage, well, that’s DH’s domain and only he knows what will happen there. He’s got lots of stuff to work on.
Hope some of you had some quilting time. Obviously no quilting for me although I do get to look at the boxes and tubs all together. Once we get to NC, I’m going to have to pare down a bit more. I need to run a leaner quilting room than before.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Been doing the same thing, Janice. We have been in this house for decades and there are things stashed away that I haven't thought about in 10 years. All that needs to go. I am hoping I will be buying a Granny house in Memphis and don't want to move or keep so much stuff. I'm going to Memphis tomorrow for a week of babysitting, so will see what I can find. In the mean time, my trunk is filling up with bags of donations to be dropped off tomorrow. Feels so good to get rid of it!

Happy Monday!
I had a great visit with my son in Salt Lake and was able to spoil him with new patio furniture for his house. Wow, they paid a lot and have a LOT of work to do. Good thing they are young and patient!!
Here are my most recent blocks for Have4, Nelco and Annt59. Again, so fun to see how the same pattern can be so different!

These blocks are from stcpaws. She is so much smarter than I was in my first boom. Choosing to do the same patterns a few times and doing them well. These blocks are from Tula Pinks city blocks book.

More from stcpaws. The first two are more city blocks from Tula Pink’s book. These are for Biblio and Sewbiz. The last block is Oh Susanna for kristijoy
Between the two of us we only have one more, jaynes striped fabric to complete. I wanted to make a sailboat for her but a mustard ocean seems to weird. We’ll see.
