Thought I'd figured out the fabric requirement, then read BOOM 26. Found some more pieces that will work. Now I'll wait to cut until the number of people in a group is announced.

One of my goals has been to make art quilts. This one took me about a year to make, although there were other quilts done while I was making this one. The peacock is framed by boom squares. It has a lot of FMQ on it. Each block got a special quilting pattern on it. I’ll get better pictures when we hang it. It’s for my tennis partner.

mjpEncintas - absolutely gorgeous! I love that tail and the peacock looks great on that stick. The orange background is perfect in size and color. I love that the boom blocks played well with this fellow. I need to get better light on this computer to see your quilting. Thank you for showing us this masterpiece. I hope your friend lets you enter it into a show. It needs to be seen by all! Truly remarkable!

Here is the Kaffe Fasset fabric I’m sending in for the boom, similar to what I sent last time. It was a fat quarter pack. There is also a melon companion fabric for most. I only have 15 of these so I’ll have to figure out what to do if we get a full complement. I want to make a king sized quilt but I’m not sure I have enough fabric to do that. I think it will be fun fabric for the boom.

MJP, the peacock quilt is awesome! Love all your special FMQ on each block.

It will be fun using those pretty Kaffe fabrics for your blocks.

Ahwu, we will miss you in this boom but hope you can join the next one.

I still haven't settled on a fabric to use yet. Gotta get digging!

Klaws glad you are joining in.

MJP your art quilt is fabulous and your custom quilting is great. Both you and Sewbiz sure have your free motion quilting done

I have one group of fabric cut and bagged up. For the second set I had time to wash the fabric before leaving Minnesota but will need to cut it here. Shouldn’t be a problem with the club house open once again. They have big tables that will make the cutting an easy task. Neither fabrics are typical Terri fabrics. Both are kids prints in hope of future great grands.

Good morning, Boomers! I trust everyone had a safe and Happy New Year. We spent part of yesterday with the grand and her family. They made us dinner which was lovely. It’s been unseasonably warm but it’s about to turn tonight and there’s a chance of snow tomorrow. We’ll see.

Klaws, happy to see you back with us again. Terriamn, that club house sounds ideal for cutting and quilting. Are there other quilters living there? MJP, your quilt is absolutely beautiful. I love that you incorporated Boom blocks in it and the Peacock is stunning. Congratulations. And this round’s F8s will produce exciting blocks I’m sure. Ibex and Ahwu, do stop in and say hello!

I'm off to bake some bread, not something I do frequently but it seems like a bread kind of day. It’s cool in the house so I guess I’ll warm the oven a bit then let it rise there. Have a pleasant day!
