Janice we could use your rain also. Terribly dry here.

Sewbiz I was surprised at how little pain there was after my breast reduction. My biggest problem was being tired, when my body goes through trauma it shuts down and the need for sleep is overwhelming. Once that passed I felt pretty darn good. Hope the same is true for you.

MJP, will miss you I hope you and Klaws will keep in contact

    Default Group Name?

I didn't think about a group name until now. Does anyone have any suggestions? It could be as simple as Fall, or Autumn, or perhaps someone has another idea. All suggestions are welcome!

I think it would be great to call it the Autumn swap, unless someone else has something better.

SBG, Autumn is my first choice so I’ll go with that. Tomorrow I’ll post the Autumn thread and we can move over.

Lov'in those smiling kitties and snowmen! And the birds and all of the brilliants, what a wide variety. I seldom sew with brilliants but nonetheless love them! Now I will get the chance.

Just a question for the experienced members of the group since I am the newbie. What size zip-lock bags are used to send the F8. And then the large bag is maybe a gallon sized bag?

My colors are Americana, Putting a FQ collection to use that was given to me and some pieces from my stash.

Group name suggestion: Autumn Festival or Autumn Treasures

Welcome to the Boom swaps WMUT. You'll be hooked in no time. I use sandwich zip bags to send my F8s in. I use the same bags repeatedly for Booms. I put a sticker with my board name on each bag and include a note of preferences inside each one. All 19 F8s go into a gallon bag with my name and address wrìtten on the outside. Again, welcome.

I wanted to tell you of my trip to the surgeon. I was ready to go through a double mastectomy if that was necessary, but the dr. said he can do a lumpectomy/partial mastectomy, and save my breasts! Then he will do one treatment of radiation after the surgery, while I am still asleep. He will deaden nerves so that I won't be in pain when I wake up. And he will do whatever reconstruction is needed during surgery too. All kinds of cool things that I didn't even know were possible! He said because of my age and the type of cancer it is, the odds of it ever returning is just 5%. Surgery is August 25. Hubby and I are so relieved that it's not as bad as we thought. Thank you to whoever prayed for me. You were heard!
Sewbiz, Dr's are miracle workers, and prayers help. We will continue to pray for speedy recovery.
