I appreciate that very much, TG! Thank you.

Best news ever Bonnie, absolutely thrilled for you and your family

We had a wonderful 1/2” of rain last night and we desperately needed it.

Our shrimp boil was a great success, food was wonderful and afterwards we all sat by the campfire. Lovely evening with great friends

The governor of Hawaii is recommending donations to : Hawaii Community Foundation. https://www.hawaiicommunityfoundation.org/maui-strong

This Washington Post article has vetted some of the possible Hawaii donation sites: https://www.washingtonpost.com/trave...s-how-to-help/

The amazing Banyon tree in Lahaina was burned! Hopefully some of the roots survived. We just saw it for the first time in April. I have a good friend living there, I told her come back and stay with us. Fortunately she is in Kihei so her home is ok. My heart is aching for the people who lost their homes and loved ones.

Sewbizgirl, that’s the kind of positive news I was hoping you’d get! A friend was in a similar situation and she’s now completely cancer free after a lumpectomy and a few rounds of radiation. I’m sure you will have an equally terrific outcome.

Onto Boom biz. I’m making the executive decision to go for a single 3 month group since we haven’t gotten enough swappers for the 2 month group. You will send me 19 fat 8ths and I will distribute them. Everyone will have a handful of duplicates but as we’ve done this before, you all know how to make two unique blocks from duplicate F8s. Of course, if we happen to get another swapper or two by Saturday night, we’ll have fewer duplicates. So fence-sitters, jump on in! We’d love to have you join us!

I’m off to the LQS to find something fun. Have a great day, everyone!

Thanks MJP, Terri, and Janice! God has been merciful to me.

The one 3-month group sounds good, Janice. It worked very well last time. I'll probably be doing my sewing the last 4 weeks of the swap, after my recovery. That's plenty of time tho, for me. In the mean time, I'll have fun choosing fabrics and blocks.

Can't wait to see all the F8s....

Tomorrow is my local quilting group meeting, so I'm going to see how many lap quilt tops I can finish quilting today, to donate tomorrow. Better get to work!

LogCabin82 has signed up! Woo hoo! And we’ve changed to a single 3 month group. Three people will send two sets of 19 F8s but everyone else will send a single set of 19. Getting close to beginning!

    SusieQOH – 1 set
    Cheesehead – 1 set
    Sewbizgirl – 1 set
    Hav4boys – 2 sets
    Annaquilts – 2 sets
    Terriamn – 1 set
    Rebaquilts – 2 sets
    Janice McC – 1 set
    TravelingGramma - 1 set
    All2pieces - 1 set
    Duckling - 1 set
    Lstew2212 - 1 set
    Libster - 1 set
    Logcabin82 - 1 set

Just back from the shop and I found my fabric - Christmas bears. The bears are about the size of a quarter. I’ll just ask that everyone use the colors in the F8s, but easy on the black please. Pic down below.

    Have a lovely day!

So much news again, best news though from Sewbiz, what an answer to prayer. And the details are also great, radiation without much pain. Great news. I dropped off the modern folk space girls to my LAQ today and picked up the Baltimore inspired quilt from the last boomerang. A great LAQ turns a wonderful top into an amazing top. Here are the photos. Hugs!
