HAV, gorgeous blocks, each and everyone.
Reba your ballerina quilt is going to be stunning.
Cheesehead I agree on the blocks we chose for showcasing large print fabrics, they work great. Love yours for Sewbiz.
I also love Carol Doak Patterns and books, especially the ones that give you the measurement's to cut the pieces.
Spinning your own yarn sounds very intriguing. Best of luck

I'm another big fan of Carol Doak. That is how I learned to PP, doing the 50 stars book. I have all 50 done, but still have not figured out how I want to put them together. I'm pretty sure they've been done for around 10 years so it's time to get moving on them.
I've spent the last few days getting things in the house ready for the photo shoot this afternoon. Just got done painting the room the LA is in. That room never got painted when we moved it and I really doubt it was ever repainted since it was built near 30 years ago. I'm taking a break for a bit and then will go and remove the tape and put stuff back in place.
I'm hoping to get started on my blocks tomorrow, will be fun getting my sewing room all messed up again. Seems strange to not have any fabric sitting out on my cutting board, or on my sewing table, or even on the LA frame. The bad part is that yesterday I bit a bone fragment and cracked a molar. It's one of two that aren't capped yet, so I figured at some point I'd break it. My back molars are so filled up from poor dental hygiene as a kid that there isn't much holding the tooth together. It's funny to think of all the cavities I had growing up, and that I've only had a few over the last 40 years.

Love the oranges with the blue. Lovely!I have had the Carol Doak 50 stars book for at least 10 years and haven’t done a single one. I pick it up occasionally, thumb through it, then but it back on the shelf. Maybe I should finally try one. Hmmm.
