Good morning, folks. It's raining but it should stop soon. I've got coffee with a friend coming up later then it's back into the sewing room to do some Frankenbatting with my scraps. I'll be putting them together by hand since my Kenmore is out of commission. I have an appointment next week to take it in for one final try to make it work. If it fails, I'll be looking for a new machine. My LQS has Janomes I might try out. A "moderately priced" one is still more than I want to spend but since it will probably be my last machine, I might just go for it. Do any of you have a Janome? If so, what do you think of it?

Off to pull SBG's blocks for the gallery. Have a good day!

Boomers, do me a favor and take a gander at the gallery and see if I have mismarked any of your blocks. I found a few with the wrong names but I cannot pick them all out from memory. If you spot an error, just leave a note on here and I'll fix it. Thanks!

Hi from hot Tokyo! Think New Orleans in August or Orlando, 92 degrees and 85 percent humidity. We get back to the Airbnb and take a shower, lol! Despite this, we have gone to the Hachiko statue, Sanrio Puroland, the Harry Potter Cafe, shopping at Don Quijote, and for Dylan, the extreme gel manicure with a Sanrio character cinnamon roll 3-d deco with pink sparkles. Tomorrow Dylan is getting an Omamori tattoo from an artist she follows on IG, it痴 a whirlwind trip, no fabric stores for me yet, which is probably a good idea because I知 going to Houston for Festival and I知 thinking I need to save a little. Sewbiz, love the scrappy nine patch, this will be a cute quilt for sure, hugs!

Great scrappy mini quilt Janice! SBG, beautiful blocks you made, really like the editor block. Reba your trip sounds fantastic, so much to see and do.

I'm left with only two blocks to make, it's a bittersweet feeling. I plan to sign up for two groups next Boom.

I値l decide on that later. DH is going to help me spray baste the little quilt later today and then it値l be up next for quilting. This has been my busiest quilting weekend in months. Feels good!

Like them? I love them! Thank you! This quilt is going to be perfect for my Hubby. After each block is done I've been showing him and each block gets his smile of approval!

Yesterday I did something that I haven't done once since having kids. I took a day to myself and went to the local quilting store here in town and joined in their open sew day. A$5 fee and get to sew all day in the small classroom in the back! It was just the type of quilting therapy that I needed! I took Alida with me, as she's being only breastfed, but otherwise I had no worries for five hours straight. I wanted to do some mindless quick sewing, so I took my stack of scrappy triangles for my Bonnie Hunter quilt. I got 306 triangles stitched up, so I reckon it was very successful. I came home feeling so much better and I really appreciate Hubby for making me go! I have bad social anxiety, so he had to tell me over and over to give it at least an hour's try.

NZ sounds like you had a very special “ you” day

Janice I gave Janome’s. Had Bernina’s but really prefer my Jamomes. I have 5 and have bought 2 for my grand daughters. I have one high end, a serger, 2 traveling ones, one for Minnesota and one for Texas and an embroidery machine. I do take my big machine with me to Texas. Never had any problems with any of them.

Reba I will be going to Houston this year also. Maybe we can set up a meet and greet. Going to Texas early so I can join other quilters on a bus trip to Houston.

NZQ, good for you getting out and mingling with other quilters and being so productive as a bonus! What BH quilt are you working on? I致e done a few.

Thanks, Terriamn, for the high marks on Janomes. Might go this week and give her a spin.

I just finished my 12 quilted squares so I知 done for the day. I used up some scraps to make three or four batting squares and had enough other pieces to finish them all. Whew. I powered through the meandering but struggled to keep my shoulders down. Amazing how much better the quilting is when I drop them. The one issue I encountered was that a couple of blocks were undersized so I had to trim them all to 12-1/4. I will lose all edge points. Oh, well. It値l still be pretty! Now to figure out the layout.

Have a good evening.

My two blocks for the day and they were created in darn near a pain free session. So thrilled with the cortisone shot.

HAV hope you like your blocks
