(Love my photo editing software! It can combine photos automatically, without me having to get the actual quilt blocks out! LOL! It's called PhotoScape ... and it's a free download!)
How do you get it to put the pictures in rows four accross, mine is only doing two. Thanks!

On the "Combine" screen, over on the far right, at the bottom, there's a drop-down box where you can choose the number of columns. :)

Thanks again for the awesome block! I think I can draw it in my CAD program.

Ok this is going to sound silly, and please don't just say what you think I want to hear but I have seen some awesome paper pieced blocks in this swap. Some of you have the seen the quality and skill level of my work, do you all think that I could paper piece a block? Is there a book or a program to teach it? Is it hard to learn?

Definitely. Just pick an easier one. There are some pretty easy ones out there, fatcatpatterns. you just have to look for them. Also look on the tutorials and links, I have found a lot through them. Just do a search for paper piecing on this board, there are a zillion pattern websites. Have fun, I love paper piecing.

You can paper piece! It's really not that difficult, and you get amazing results that look harder than they really are. :)

I learned from QuiltersCache's tutorial. It starts you out with a simple pattern, and once you get the hang of it, you can pretty much do any paper piecing pattern that's out there. Here's a link:

Thank you all for the encouragement and the link Moonrise, I will try it. I love the results that pp gives but always thought it was too difficult to try. what kind of paper should I use?

I personally just use plain ol' printer/copier paper. :) If you use small stitches, it tears away easily.
