I received a grown up block from okdarla yesterday I really like it, I really do believe that I am going to have 2 very different quilts with the blocks that I am getting. I can't believe how much fun this is and I can't wait for bommer #4. I think I already have my fabric picked out!!

In the photo you see little blocks next to the big blocks. I used a bit of fabric from each block I made. In the center I wrote your name and your city and state. When I put my quilt together, I plan to stitch your faux signature block on the back of my quilt, directly behind the block you sent me. I wasn't quick enough to send you fabric for signatures this time. Next swap I'll try to do better!

I got a wonderful basket block from Ok Darla today. Thank you so much, I love the yo-yos! What tickled me the most was how you filled out the custom form as used fabric scrap-which is very true on the used fabric-but I'll say you made some very pretty scraps!

Thought I'd let you all see what I've been working on this week. It's a lap quilt for my mom-her sister gave her material with scenes from the Dick and Jane stories-my parents are named Dick and Jane-Mom and Dad are driving their Model "A" coupe to Vermount, leaving next week so she didn't have time to make the quilt (car seat cover so I voluntered to make it for her. I ended up making 2 tops, she chose the red background (red's her favorite color) so I'm in the middle of finishing that-hopefully I get it finished in time.
