Doesn't matter as long as they are 12 1/2" finished.

    Okay to ease the confusion:
I went with the 18 x 11 measurement because it allows for a bigger but if someone wants to do something different such as applique or a very special block required say a 9.5" square. It equates to the same amount of fabric ultimately but I think when swapping like this 11 x 18 is just a better size to work with. Hope this helps (if you have ALREADY cut your fabric 9 x 22 do not fret-send it out it is not a problem to use it this way)I just like the idea of a bigger surface area :-)

Jupiter-all blocks are welcome here-traditional, applique, paper pieced-anything you feel that talks to you can be done. All I ask is if you want to embellish your block with beads or buttons or something of that nature is to ask the recipient first because some people prefer there to be no embellishments on their blocks for setting and quilting purposes.

Carsey-I am so sorry this swap is full for this time around but I will hold you on the list for 4.0 if you would like. Looking forward to swapping with you
    Hugs

    lol

It is actually a picture of Homunculus or a "little human". The hands are just very large in proportion to the body.

My son learned about this in school last year or the year before. We all thought it was interesting. You can read more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homunculus

I have been cutting fabric and stuffing emvelopes as I go. I always hate to cut up big fabric into little pieces... but I keep telling myself that its alright. It will come back in various and wonderful configurations! I can hardly wait for the list to arrive.

My envelopes are all ready to go - they just need labels! But, I can't get to the post office until Tuesday.

Mine is washed and dried, but have to give it a good press and cut. I'm not in any tremendous rush, yet.... Catching up on some other projects first.
