Thanks so much for the tute Dawn I will have to give it a try!
Just a very friendly reminder that blocks should be mailed home by no later than Wednesday. I know there are a couple of people who have already advised they are running a little behind and it is understood-just keep us updated on how YOU are doing :-)
Remember if anyone needs anything I am ALWAYS here to help in any way that I can.

Here is the quilt that I made from some of the blocks received in this swap! My friend is going to love it! Thanks for the help! :)

Quilt is sideways but didn't want it on the floor!

This is only my second quilt off my new quilting setup.

Detail of the binding. I did it scrappy style and I think I love this way!

Well apparently the post office closes early on Saturday. I only get 1 day a week off at a 3rd shift job. So hard to get it all done with no sleep in one day. Sorry. Hopefully my daughter has a day off work and college next Monday or Tuesday. Maybe I can bribe her to do it for me. Grrr. Sorry. All the f8's I got are done.

    Hello all,

Well, I am sorry to say that I am one of those "fallen" quilters this time around. Some of you know (and others had no idea) that since signing up for this swap, my DH has had an emotional crisis of his sexual identity. I won't get into all of the details here, but please understand that I do have many blocks in envies that I have not even opened yet (and several F8's, too). (I know, 15 lashes with a wet length of thread for that!)

On the plus side, I have been keeping everything all together, and now that his therapy is helping him and he seems to be turning the corner, he has asked me to apologize to all of you from him. He feels horribly that his emotional health issues had to take precedence from my quilting which gives me so much joy. However, his issues had to come first (as I am sure you all understand), as I did not want to be a "Merry Widow" at 49 (which I now have discovered was a very distinct possibility for several weeks there .... whew! glad to have dodged THAT bullet).

That being said, I will do my very best to get all of these blocks out by year's end to each and every one of you. There have been some beautiful blocks being sent home this time around and I have many great ideas, but I may find myself making very simple blocks for each of you just so that I can get them done and back to their rightful owners. Honestly, I don't recall too many of the fabrics I had opened originally when they started coming in, so it will be such a pleasure to rediscover what I have to work with again.

IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE ME TO PUT THEIR BLOCK AT THE HEAD OF THE LINE, PLEASE LET ME KNOW! I know that some of you have offered to be flexible and wait until last, but if someone is desperate to have their blocks first, I will do my best to accommodate.

Thank you all for your friendship and understanding. I love each and every one of you dearly, and it's a true pleasure swapping with all of you.

    Odessa

p.s. When I can get these envelopes with MY blocks opened, I will take a photo so that I can thank everyone for their lovely work. Sorry to have been such a slacker!

Odessa, Family comes first. Glad to hear he is doing better. Please feel free to put my envelope at the back of the line. I'm not in a hurry. Take care.
