Embroidery is great with me too. Have fun playing with your new machine!

Moonrise you're cute. I like the idea of blocks talking to you.

Well you certainly have great taste in batiks! I made your block already and I teamed up your batik with some of my cotton sateen that I hand dyed. It goes really good together. I hope you like it,

Boy, once ReneeBobby's F8 started talking, it was a Little Jabber-jaws! ;) I made a block, and had some fabric left over. As it turns out, the F8 wasn't happy being just ONE block. It wanted to be TWO blocks! To be so shy at first, that little F8 turned out to be quite ambitious!

So ReneeBobby's getting two blocks!

    Hope you like them! :)

    ....

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it scary to cut into those F8's? I'm so afraid I'm going to mess it up, and not have enough fabric left to make a block. I even did a practice block with some different fabric first to make sure I knew what I was doing!

Last Boom, I did a block and ended up with too little fabric. I substituted and think the block looked awful. I said I would gladly make a different block if member sent replacement fabric, but I didn't hear a reply. I am so ashamed of that block.

You did a good thing "trying out" the block. I wish I had that foresight.

Embroidery machine is in my Christmas wishe!! What machine did you get? I haven't decided yet but cannot go top of the line. Tell me how you chose it.
I was also thinking embelishing some of the blocks and wasn't sure but I like the diversity so embrodery is fine with me.

Wendsy's block is done. As soon as I took it out of the envelope, it told me exactly what it wanted to look like when it grew up! No ifs, ands, or buts! It should "boomerang" back to her in Monday's mail. Hope you like it, Wendsy! :)

(I took a photo, but it's supposed to be a surprise, right?)

You are not in the slackers team for sure!!! I've got only one F* and it is on the designing wall... waiting for something happening to it!

As many of you know I am a bit disabled right now due to celluitis in my leg. So I have to keep it elevated at all times and can't walk....therefore I cannot shop. So I wanted to get my boomerang fabric today. I sent my husband to Joanns with a coupon in hand and told him to pick out his favorite fabric to make a quilt from and buy 5 yards. He's not home yet, but I can't wait to see what he comes up with. He has a wonderful sense of color and design so I'm pretty excited. Hopefully for all of your sakes it will be something fun to work with!
