You did a wonderful job on that carpenter's wheel block. It's one of the more difficult blocks to accomplish ... set-in seams, bias edges, tricky to match. You've got a GREAT handle on it! I'd be proud to have that as the center of a quilt .... send me one any time!

Ok...I bought the fabric so I have just a couple of questions. After I wash it, Do I iron and starch it, just iron it, do nothing???
Also, what kind of envelope are ya'll using? Like a regular white legal envelope or a bigger manilla type?
    Lastly, did ya'll cut your fat eigth as 9 x 22 or 18 x 11?
    I'm way to excited!!

It took me 5.5...plus a little extra for mistakes :)

my fabric shrunk a bit so it was not 44" WOF. Therefore I only cut 2 from WOF @ 18".

    TO BEGIN:

I went 11" up the selvedge edge 18 times which equals 198" then divide that by 36" (yard) and it equals 5.5 yards.

Those were then 11" wide by WOF and I cut them in half then into 18" length. Which left me with a scrap of 11" x about 5"from each of those 18 pieces.

There may be an easier way to do it but this is what worked for me...plus like i said I did not have 44" WOF after washing and April suggested an 18" x 11" F8

I've been finising a bunch of little non quilt UFO's in order to clean up my sewing space to help me keep this stuff organised better. I'm scared to death I'm gonna screw up somebodies stuff!! See the motivation this brought out...ahahha...some of this stuff has laid on my cutting table for a couple of years.

SO EXCITED!! Such beautiful fabrics pictured already, to work with!

    Okay, ladies ...

I am sorry to say that I have made a decision that pains me ... I must drop out of this swap this time around. I don't want to (I've been in every Boom swap so far and just LOVE them), but since I am still trying to get my Boom 3.0 blocks completed and sent back to their homes (and since my husband just got out of the hospital today after a week-long stay), I just don't have the energy to devote this time around.

I really hate that life has kicked my can so hard, but I don't feel it would be fair to the rest of you to have to wait for me to get my collective act together. I will watch from the sidelines this time around, but I'll be ready for 5.0!

Thanks, April for all your hard work on this ... hope I haven't caused you too much heartache!
