Very pretty block. Love that pattern, is it paper piecing or traditional?

Yes, it's paper pieced and called Galaxy Star from quilterscache.com

How did you resize it to 12" from the 9" on there and add the other points in the corners?

I was wrong -- so sorry -- that pattern came from www.reocities.com/pcpiecers
and is a 6-1/2" pattern, making a 6"block) with 4 making the 12-1/2" block.

My fabric is all cut out and wrapped and ready to go...half of the group will be getting f8's from the Dr. Seuss collection and the other half will be getting "sea life" fabric...making two lap quilts....also have several of the f8's that I've been sent cut and ready to sew and mail...this is really a fun swap!!

Last post for the evening. Only had time to complete 3 blocks today. Sew Roseysue, CyndieH, and Fromzstore will be getting blocks soon. I will mail them monday morning before I go to work.
