this is so much fun! one of the hard parts of being new to quilting is i really didn't have a stash. well, just in time, a huge package of cottons arrived from an order i'd placed a couple weeks ago! woohoo! ain't we got fun! it's a combination of lawns, poplins, broadcloth, shirtings and 1 jacquard, 25 yards, all cotton! daddy's broke, but momma's happy!

Well I started to make my first sq today for Janecat...After two days of doing reseach on what PP sqs I'd start with I think I narrowed it down. Being a newbie is hard enough but then trying to come up with the perfect sq for each of you is really hard...But I love what I picked for Janecat (yes Christmas theme) and hope she likes it too...Now tomorrow I'll finish it up and onto the next.
Probably get 3-4 done by Fri and will then mail back my first batch...Not as fast as some of you but maybe next time when I'm more experienced.

I didn't get any today, but I suppose it is because most, like me, waited until Monday or later to mail. I finished 3 and have 3 underway. The rest are at the ponder stage. I keep telling myself, "You have four months!"

Just want to let you all know that I really did mail all my f8's today like I promised I would. Hooray for me for actually doing what I'm supposed to!
Walked my 4 legged children 4 miles today (gorgeous outside!) and came home to find a squishy from oatw13 (super pretty).
I have two customer quilts to finish and then I'll get started making blocks. Yeah!
