I'm confused. Am I east or south? Lol. It's been a LONG semester.

hi everyone! I've got my envelopes written out, fabric ready and in baggies, just need a few more stamps. :) I'll be sharing who I send to as soon as I send! This is really fun!

This is the fabric I'm using, just so everyone can start putting their thinking caps on:

This is for the SOUTH group, and since I'm in 2 groups, I've no idea what I'm doing for the North one yet.

This is my first time doing this here. Do the scraps usually come back with the block or not ?I am thinking I would like mine to do a scrappy binding with the remnants as well as a few solids and I just barely have enough to do my 35 f8. Let me know if that is reasonable or what? I am excited. Got to get mine in the mail in the next day or two. Looking forwarD to yours in my mailbox. From sunny southern California it is KT KT THE QUILTING LADY.

no, the scraps typically do not go back with the block. You can request that they do.

Example: I send my F8 to you. You make a block that uses 1/2 of my F8. The rest of my F8 is yours to keep in your scrap box. :)

Interesting tidbit: I was on the allpeoplequilt.com website, and they had a section of patterns using fat 8th's. What caught my eye, is that they said a F8 is
9" x 22" ! (Which I originally thought it was until I joined this swap.)

That is fine. Just trying to get it all straight. Thanks for the quick response. Now I better go back to work so I can pay for all the postage and fabric. LOL

I'm planning on using the pieces that I have left over from Boom 4.0 to make a stripe on the back of the quilt I make. So it's a reminder of the blocks that I made for everyone, and the blocks they made for me.

    It's fun - don't sweat it!
