I'm going to attempt to make a wedding quilt for a wedding that was supposed to be next year, but was moved to August, just a few months away.

Sorry to be so late in posting. I received a F8 from Keesha_Ont and a wonderful block from Moonrise. Had a couple of odd weeks-Grandma in the hospital, went in because a problem with her pace maker, now we find out she has cancer all over-not quite sure what direction she'll be going-she was always really strong-this is the first time she's been this sick in all of her 85 yrs! She was the organizer of the family! Now's a waiting game. Then this last week we were hit with some bad weather (tornado touched down in town, no electric for 16 hours-my bother and his family are going on day 4 w/o power.) We just have hail damage but the town is full of downed trees-no one seriosly hurt. I just haven't found the inspiration to sew  But I'm hoping it'll kick in soon :P

wendsy, isn't it just awful how life seems to pile on a whole bunch of stuff at once? you will get thru it, but meantime it is not easy or fun. your grandmother sounds like she's had an active and fulfilling life. maybe she's ready to pass the reins over while she coasts for awhile. a cancer diagnosis throws everyone for a bit. glad to hear no deaths from the tornado. i grew up with hurricanes--plenty of time to prepare. then we moved to texas. jeesh! no predicting with tornadoes, and therefor much more frightening! i hope things are getting normalized. we have until september for the swap. no hurry. take time to catch your breath! it's been said before, we'll be here. if there's something i can do to help, let me know. i'm just a fingertip away!

I received these beautiful blocks and I didn't get a chance to post a photo before now. :)

Beautiful job ladies! I'll be working on all your blocks over this weekend, I'm hoping to get 10 of them done this weekend, then the end of school and freedom to sew!!
