    Hi,
about your question about the 12 1/2" block. one thing you will find with most blocks, to get that in order to get that size, you will need to make it a "scant" quarter inch. Not an eighth inch, but a scant quarter inch.

This is especially true with a block with a lot of pieces, seems to need more like that.

The Quilter's cache has lot's of 12 1/2" blocks free to pick from. They have all sizes, just go to the 12" 'finished' size.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

I mailed my international ones today, as well as the first two blocks I finished. It was so fun finding fabric to match those I received.

I finished my second block today for sewhappy30--it's heading your way!! Hope you like it; I had fun making it today.

    I've started jillnjo's block, too. Sadly, I didn't receive any new F8's today :(.

I just got home! I never made it to the PO, but I am sure it will be full of great things in the morning.

Today I met with a new customer, one I met through this site. I am so excited to be making 4 memory lap quilts for a wonderful sweet lady who lost her mother this year. For Christmas she is having me make a keepsake quilt for each of her siblings, I will have a busy holiday season, and that is wonderful! It is really a wonderful thing to give someone a little comfort.

It got cold here in SoCal today, fall is really in the air, I just hope the snow stays away for a little longer!

April; I am thinking of you and pray that you are feeling better as the day goes on! Take good care of yourself, please!

Gena; I am putting your block in the mail today! And can't wait to see mine from you!

No new blocks came yesterday-maybe today?

This is really fun, isn't it?

Mary; you are doing a very nice thing by making those keepsake quilts for others. I have bits and pieces of my mothers wedding dress and my dad's suit, some of us children's baby outfits, dad's shirts, ect. I keep thinking I ought to make a small memory quilt for my Mom( and ultimately ME). She will be 90 Oct. 28 and lives alone. She taught me to sew and quilt. I am so blessed!

Yes this is so much fun. I love it already and I've only made 2 blocks.
Off to work now. No sewing today.

I have four blocks cut out and all that is left is to sew and send to their mothers. The fabric I'm geting to work with is awesome - this is showing itself to be a great swap!

Also, sorry To hear tha you have been in the ER. I don't know how you do it. You must know how we love you and pray for dulling the pain so that you can feel like yourself.

Thanks for making this swap happen, it is the BEST swap ever!!!!
