completed jillnjo block last night, I hope you love it. It will go out this week.

How do you all normally send the completed blocks? The same as we received? Is there more postage? Do you find a bigger envelope works?
    Thanks All!

For me, if it traditional pieced I sent wrapped in saran wrap in #10 envelope postage was .64, if it's appliqued I normally have to send in something bigger like a small manilla envelope won't know about the postage on that until Tuesday.

I am up for anything anyone does, I will keep the quilt for myself as it will be my first Swap, I love all the exciting different things we do here!

If you use manilla envelope make sure it doesn't have a clasp closer. If it does pull or cut it off. USPS charges more for clasp envelopes.

Thanks for letting us know about the clasp in manilla envelopes. I was going to use them to send the block back so I'll have to remove the clasp. I wonder why they charge more because it has a clasp?

I tried to send in an envelope like I had sent my f8th in, but the seam allowances on the blocks made it too thick, so I put it in a manila envelope that I bought at Dollar General (8ct. for $1.15). I took the clasp off and I think it went for 64cents. I received a block back in a regular envelope and wasn't charged any extra, but it was stamped"too thick for delivery." I think I will use the manila envelopes for all my blocks after seeing some pictures of torn up regular envelopes! Maybe they get caught a little in the slots and rip?
