Angie I am still mulling yours over - I bought some fabric I think would look great with your BUT am afraid it will make it too dark , hhhmmmm maybe make the block another way and just send you the fabric I bought and see if you want to use it in another block ?

Sharon, I'm sure your idea will be fine. I sent you the fabric with the red didn't I? I'm thinking I did. I love that fabric!! It doesn't matter what you do with the block I'm sure I'll love it! I wish the lqs would have had more of that fabric. I was just in love with it!! I bought the only fq's she had. It would have made an awesome border around the quilt on the other side of the solid black. I hope the block I did for you isn't too bold!! I thought it was for sure bright!! ;p

I know that when I started looking at the blocks that others had sent to people while I was trying to come up with something it really messed with me. I had to quit doing that and go with what I perceived at first. Each block will be in a solid black sashing so it will be it's own little area itself. This way none of them will compete.

I received a beautiful block from Musicaljan today -- a shoo fly. I just love that block design -- it always looks happy to me! I'm going to arrange all of the blocks I've received on the floor, probably tomorrow, and take a pic of them together.
