I do smell the roses, especially the ones I planted. It is my old thoracic injury that is from the three car accidents I have been in, none my fault of course. people just love to rear end you when they are on their cell phones and big tractor trailers go thru yellow/red lights and hit you when yours is green. That is the one that got me. I did manage to go shopping in my stash to get the fabric for the two blocks and then went thru my block patterns to pick out two so will get them done today during lunch. I am hoping to get all these mailed today as well. I did go lay down last night and went to sleep around 8:30, but woke up at 3:30 because of storm, so finished up dq top for swap, and also quilted the wall hanging for customer this am so can get to her tonight for quilt show this weekend. So glad that is done. The nerve burn may have healed, it has been 1.5 years since last and they do only last from 4 months to two years. I may have to go thru procedure again if new insurance will not pay for surgery. I am going to look into it. Be nice to take care of and it can be, old insurance would not pay for it because thoracic instead of neck or low back. Thought it was all one piece. Well, enough chatter about me, lets get to making those blocks from the f8ths we have received. Yeah! I am getting a bit excited. I am only looking at current goals, not the longterm so will get r done for sure now.

Oh Miss marytoddliz!!!! Guess what!!!! I got yours YESTERDAY!!! I brought it to work and showed another quilter your red dove fabric and she OOOHHH and AAAHHH'ed over it!!! She asked what I was going to make with it and my face went blank and then she laughed at me. Guess you can tell I have absolutely NO idea what to do...sooooo...until then, I'll keep it on my desk today for inspiration while I work! Happy quilting ladies and can't wait to see what comes next!!!!!

Boy I no your pain. Neck blew up on me twice, now I have a steel plate from C2 - C6, wintertime cold drives me crazy. Don't want surgery on the lower back yet go in every 6mos. and get a block. Relieves some of the pain though. Went to the PO and had F8's from moonrise, yosamitesa, and marytoddliz. Have to cut a ladies hair, shampoo my kitchen carpet and this afternoon, blocks!

All f8ths cut this am, envelopes addressed, thanks to mail merge and printer taking envelopes, cut up moonrise and yosemitsea blocks, now waiting to hget on sewing machine so can sew them up and mail out. I also need to wrap the f8ths for the envelopes. may have to stop by main post office instead of using the office mail box to mail out. Lunch is ready, DH cooked me enough supper last night to give me at least two to three days of meals at office since I don't get to get out till next week when boss comes back from vacation. Life is good for sure.

LOL, Kelly you are so funny! Linda, Linda, Linda... I think you are going to make fine blocks, don't worry! Quilter Momma, sending prayers for your back to get better. Yosamitesa, I also was very surprised when I saw the fabric I received was from Texas and Georgia. it must have been traveling all day on Sunday!

No more squishes in the mail today. But I know my box will be full of them tomorrow! I have a summer cold coming on, and I am determined to get rid of it quick. what home remedies do you all have?

I am drinking tons of tea with lemon and honey, I was thinking about adding a drop of something a bit stronger. When we were kids we would get a tablespoon of Honey mixed with lemon and a few drops of something stronger, not sure which one she would put in it but it always helped us sleep.
