Ok. I got a box full of squishes. I got Immemother, Jacquie, Lovingizabella, and Buddy's Mom.

It was pouring rain at lunch so I did not get the the post office with my Fat 8s but they will get there tomorrow.

I am up stairs having fun...

sorry you don't have any squishies yet...hoping they get there soon. I have the bestest matches for your fabric...it was sooo dang cool when I opened yours and walked right to my stash and pulled out a jelly roll that looks like it could have been made just for you.

BTW, I love your kitty on a leash. My cats have always acted like a leash/harness weighed 10 tons when you put them on...they lower their stomachs to the ground or flop like a hooked fish. Yours appears to be quite pleased with his surroundings.

Ok confessions post. I had a very bad sewing day yesterday, the kind that one gets tears over. I worked hard cut things correctly (this is hard work guys really it is) and sewed dilegently. Scant 1/4 inch. Finished it. Looked ok measured perfectly. Took photo looked at photo. ITS NOT GOT THE POINTS IT NEEDS. I look hard and look hard and know if I take in those seams to 1/4 inch I will have points. I take the whole thing apart. Restitch and sure enough the block is golden. Golden 12". So what to do here: do I A) add a stupid bony edge strip to the sides and be happy (not going to be happy) B) do I buy more of that fabric as it was not a piece that can be reused much at all and start from scratch. I am not going to not have a good block. Trouble is I have only four 4" pieces left otherwise to work with and that is totally lame unless I buy more fabric. What would you do? super sad. whole thing is super sad.

well I totally butchered Nexxus's black so I have to get more.. I tried ripping it apart and putting it back together but that didn't work and I also don't like to add little borders but I had to with my boat one because well.. I cut improperly and there wasn't any spare to fix.. so it has a couple of those annoying little seams. Since you can find the fabric that you need... in my shoes, because i'm a perfectionist, I would get more.. If you couldn't, I'd say go with the tiny border.

So I completed about 1/2 of Moonwork's block. First time I ever did this type of thing. I did part of it by hand and part of it by machine because I got tired of doing it by hand, and well there's a tiny little.. not quite a pucker, not quite a fold, not sure what to call it.. when I got to the last bit.. I'm gonna leave it there. It's gonna be the add the character flaw haha. Freaking ladybugs everywhere I tell ya... taking over the place.

He does love it, in fact he often demands it. it did take me a little while to train him on it, but now when i pick up the lead he leans against the door and over the harness goes, he thinks he's a dog! he loves when i garden because on goes his lead and he gets to roll around in the soil, not the best thing for a white cat, but it makes him so happy.
