So many blocks because this one, diamonds group and a couple of more extra's for a side swap. They'll get done for sure, hope so by a little before Thanksgiving time. That's my goal, we'll see. Got 3 from the diamond group this morning but nada from this one yet.
Nygal do you want only red? Have to see your fabric when it comes, lots of shades of red out there. Don't no if I posted this on here but ignore my album names ,can't get "water" off of there to save me, but all the blocks for rubies and diamonds, sent and received will be posted in them. Sometimes it hurts to be so computer stupid!! Just overlook please, I'm an old lady, just trying to put in a full day of work, at the "sewing machine" Guess I better hit the shower so I can go to the post office and see if I have any little bundles. Zero in so far and 55 to go.[/QUOT

I will post a picture soon of all the fabrics I am sending out. Maybe You all can give me suggestions on how they all van be unified in a quilt.

Behaving here gonna go take a snooze then whip up my grinch block. I had a bad block day yesterday. Six inside seams, all done nicely block looked great! ok its 1/4 inch TOTAL all around off.. so today I took every single darned seam out and will do it again. It was only 1/4 short square enough to be a failure. now praying the fabric has integrity still.. pray with me. I do not want to cry. I wish I was brighter than the average bear. I could not get that the one fabric I was switching out in the pattern was green not blue and for somereason once again starting cutting the wrong ones and wouldnt you know its the wrong one of my pals fabric not mine which I have half yards of.. argh.

lots of red here from cherry to blue reds phew! checks and asian prints wow that would look.. interesting. you try it first April. Shoot, out of checks cause I dont buy them.. cant follow a straight line apparently (see above). From here on I am pencil marking each and every single seam.. no room for error there even a scant 1/4 inch single seam.. which I think is halfway between 1/8th and 1/4 correct? save me from myself.

mostly tv.. I did piece together part of a backing for the baby quilt top I finished, and I did cut some strips to put a border on that said backing.. and I did a bunch of ironing of some blocks I had previously sewed for another quilt top I'm working on.. but that's about as far as I've gotten.. haha.

all my f8's went into the post yesterday. i gave them all a little kiss to help them on their journey's. be kind to them, they've come a long way. this is the fabric you will all receive. hope you like it.

i have put in a note with each one, but my plan is to sash with an orange and bind in teal blue. i will also be setting the quilt on point for something a little different.

lOVE YOUR FABRIC! I receive this one magazine from the Uk Molly Makes fun mag with crocheting, crafting and good little articles on designers etc of fabric.. very cute for little ideas. Price? horrible but magazine cute. The fabric your using I think is USA but has the feel that is all the rage over in Europe right now. colorful and happy and I can't wait to receive it.

I received a third package from Diamonds.. ruby gals where are they? I think mine should hit a few of you tomorrow. I have grand plans of doing my two I have here in the morning but plans are what they are. I seem to take a whole lot more time making one silly block than I used to. What is the average amount of time do you spend thinking about which colors, picking your block design and cutting and sewing? I have this naggy feeling I am the slowest. Worry about getting it all right. It is however fun to see the different fabric choices then its like art watching what everyone creates. .. same thing different results. So fun.

Ladies, here are the asian themed fabrics I am sending out Saturday morning. What do you all think would be a good color that will unify them?? I was thinking of red. Black would work too. But red would be brighter. What do you think? A few would do better if they were "fussy cut" to show the nice geisha etc.
