Update: I finished and mailed all blocks except "queenof2802", whose f8 I never received. I am waiting for blocks from Allikat110, AnneMixon, goldendog55, and happylab. I also just mailed a block for a side swap with Debra Poland. Please let me know if I made a mistake in any way.

    Hello everyone,
Yes I know I have been MIA Thank you Melinda for trying to help anyone who needed it and thanks for the updates to the groups.
I ended up with a massive infection in my shunt which almost caused me to loose my eyesight in my right eye. I was taken by ambulance to my local ER on October 5 and then transported out to my neurosurgeon in CT. I spent a week in ICU on very high dose antibiotics. They removed my old VP shunt on a Wednesday once I had been on the antibiotics for 3 days and then put a new one in on Friday with anti-microbial tubing so hopefully this does not happen again. I just returned to work on the 24th. I have some pain still from the tubing as it is larger than the normal tubing and it takes some getting used to Thankfully though my neurosurgeon saved my eyesight by putting in an LP drain bedside and draining the infected CSF and relieving the increased pressure on my optic nerves. I am headache free now and I can see. My right eye is still a little weak but it is getting there
Due to some rows I am unable to locate from a row robin I was in (I put them up for Hurricane Sandy and then had 5 brain surgeries so I can't get through all of the containers ) I have been informed I am no longer allowed to host swaps so sadly this will be the last Boomerang swap unless someone wants to host it until I am able to find the rows and get them home to their rightful owner (which I will do ). If anyone wants to please let me know, I hate to see this swap end because of my shortfalls.
Also please remember deadline is coming up soon, hopefully you are all almost done and happy
    Huge Hugs
    April

april, the most important thing is your out of the woods right now. Your eyesight is saved which is no way a small miracle right? you count on that vision!

I am also so sorry you will be blocked from hosting until you find those rows. I know you will they are right where you last left them. Get your mom or a friend to help you look. make it a small mission. We would so miss you if you didn't run another swap. I would offer but I get swamped with my own swap.. and this is a big one to run. I would surely lose half of them. I will cross my fingers you can locate them, over the winter and well we will not give up on you until you throw down your own flag. Then we will walk beside you and call you friend until you can come back with us.

    Brat

The end is drawing near. I just wanted to thank all of you who sent beautiful blocks. I have not set them together yet because I am still waiting for blocks from AnneMixon and happylab. I have had no communication from them which is very disappointing. I also never received a F8 from queenof2802. I sent her a pm but no response.

April, Thank you for hosting. I hope your health improves. Hang in there. You are the recipient of lots of prayers.

    Hi April,

Glad you are on the mend again. You have done such a great job with keeping the Boomerang in the air, I just want you to know how much I appreciate all you have done.

I received a beautiful block from happylab. Thanks lots. It will look great in my quilt. I'm sorry I didn't get it posted sooner. We've been at deer camp.
Thanks again to all who joined this swap and sent such wonderful blocks. You are all so talented.

Here are three quilts I made with blocks from this group and another, and ones I had leftover from a previous swap. Didn't use all the blocks but appreciate them all. Thank you
The first two I self-binded with fleece and they will be going to a shelter for abused women with children. The kids will love the colors! Thank you

I love your quilts. Multi color scrap quilts really appeal to me. I'm sure whoever is lucky enough to receive these quilts will love them. We have such talented people here.
