didn't get as many blocks done today as I had anticipated.

We had dryer problems..and the best part is, it's a BRAND NEW dryer! I swear the clothes came out more wet than when I put them in! And after 3 cycles, and they still weren't dry I was so frustrated! Also, there was a small water leak under the dryer..thats right...the DRYER, not the washer!

To those of you who may have gotten a not so fancy or a fairly simple block from me I am sorry. I really wanted to do a fabulous block for everyone this round but my health was not the best :-( To keep my mind busy during surgery I did some handwork which is why a few people got more involved blocks but I love you all and want you all to have very special blocks from me so do not be surprised if at some point you receive something from me down the road!

April -- don't feel you need to apologize. You said yourself time and again, this is no contest. Sometimes in a quilt made of sampler blocks, simple is better. And who cares about the complexity of a block -- it was made with love and friendship and good will, and that's what it's all about. Those getting what you feel are "simple" blocks are going to look at them and say, "April made this block for ME in spite of her health, taking care of Izzy, her job, the rest of her family ... I am so honored that she took out time for ME."
