I could choose another fabric to send or I could send a blender to go with my floral. What would you all rather receive????
I'd be good w/ either, just depends on what you are going to do w/ it, sending a blender would probably make a more cohesive quilt and a different floral would make a more scrappy quilt.

Oh BEA - sorry to cause you nightmares - no really (hehe) Outside of the box, inside the box kick the box - anything will do - just have funnnnn. Look what we all came up with with Nana's quilt - I just want it to be interesting!!
And I can't wait to see what Kas comes up with!!
And as for your family reunion - just remember it is family - and that means anything goes. But get everyone to bring something and delegate everything so YOU can enjoy it all too. My grandfathers family has held the family reunion for well over 60 years on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. It is on the Eastern Shore of MD so crabs are the center. But everyone brings stuff and their own drinks and we always have an array of food and fun. Crock Pots are the best!

Jaba - may I suggest sending your blender and maybe a fussy cut flower so we can work it in?

Went to get eyes checked and will be getting Cataracts done in July. Both eyes - two weeks apart. Hopefully it will help with my sewing (hehe)

No scrappy quilt, want this one with just this focal fabric. If I sent another fabric it would be for a totally different quilt. I do think if I sent a F8 of the floral and a F8 of a blender you should have more than enough fabric for 2 blocks as you could add either a light pink or light green to it if I'd send the lavender. Hope that makes sense. Almost every boom I've made ladies 2 blocks with just one F8. We'll see what happens, I only have about a 1/2 yard left of this fabric, 20" to be exact and will really need it to make more blocks if need be. This will have to be a king size quilt. I may have to change my fabric selection all together and send something else.

    Morning, Boomers!

    Reminders:
Sign-ups close at 11:59 EDT tonight.
In order to sign-up, please read post #1 and follow instructions.
You may NOT make block requests but you may make color requests.
    Requests are REQUESTS.
If you wish to send more than one color fabric, that's fine, but one of them MUST be an F8.

And please realize that some folks do NOT want to make more than one block so let's wait until tomorrow morning with regard to whether or not there will be doubling up in the 2 month group.

    Thanks.

I am sure whatever you send Jaba will be great. I am down with sending just the focal to me or two coordinating fabrics to me to make you a block. You always put such pretty blocks together I am sure its not a worry. If you want to surprise us then go for that too. I love doing different blocks with different fabrics. Gotta get to the store to get some more blender fabric so I am prepared in case people want specific ones. crossing fingers that I get the right ones!

I like this idea I really think it will work.

ladies if it works out that we don't double up in the 2 month group we can always do a side swap.

wow I should have finished that thought I need more coffee this morning

....I think sending the blender fabric if we double up is a great idea with that and our own blenders we could make 2 blocks pretty easily.
