All, getting caught up on the board. Have my fabric prepped and ready to cut. So hope to get in the mail today or tomorrow. I am not sure what direction to go with it. It was in my stash of fabric when I was thinking I wanted to make a orange and purple quilt that never came to be.

So a little about me. I think this is my 4th BOOM. They are so much fun and have enjoyed getting to know everyone. It helps me grow and try new things and fabric/color combinations outside my comfort zone.

I am still working and hope to be able to retire in a few years. I learned to quilt on my own but was inspired by my Mom. She made beautiful quilts. I lean towards more traditional and scrappy. I have found myself with lots of fabric and UFOs. So this year I am trying to get organized as will be doing some new flooring in the house so have to pack up and move everything. I am more of a topper then a quilter. Lots of tops done but not quilted. I hope to tackle some of those this year also. So should I be doing another BOOM swap? NO! But they are so much fun.

Welcome to the newbies. Relax and enjoy. Doesn't matter what kind of block you make, simple or complex. They make lovely quilts as you can see in past rounds!

Let me double check my fabric to be sure all set to go and count is correct and I will mail today as well. Just did not want to mail to early.

Well, what a week this has been! Getting this Boom ready, working on the UFO board, preparing docs for my sister's estate, and now, lo and behold, mom needs to get a new ID (like a driver's license for someone who no longer drives) before Tuesday. Usually not a problem but she was not a US citizen at birth and thanks to recent law changes in GA, we've got to produce 2 docs that prove she's a US citizen. She has a passport but I think she threw it out. Ugg. She has naturalization papers from the early 1950s but who knows where they are? Suddenly, I'm digging through boxes and dresser drawers and closets trying to find where she put all her important papers because they aren't in the file marked "important papers". All that means to you is that I'm running behind on preparing the email for everyone. I should still be able to do it by tomorrow but don't be shocked if it's a tad late. Will do my best. In the meantime, keep prepping the fabrics. I've got a couple of packages in the mail already so this is going to start, with or without me. Hopefully WITH!

Janice, take a deep breath, then organize your search. Boy it is a bear sometimes when life happens!

FOUND IT! Ahhh, life gets good when you least expect it. Tomorrow we'll be at the DMV by 8:30 am and we'll get this done.

NOW I can concentrate on the Booms. Uh, no, I've got another unexpected exercise for the estate first and then it's Boom time!

    You said it Lisa, breathe!
