That is an idea...but where or how will you decide who to donate to and would it be for display or for raffling off?

Would like to join but not sure about the time issue...if I can get my personal scheduling (schedule...what's a schedule????) in gear, then I would love to be a part of this...my MIL valiantly battled breast cancer for quite a few years.
Will get back to you later to confirm whether or not I can manage it.

i am going to donate my quilt to our relay for life teams here in my town. they can raffle it off or whatever they need to do to raise their money. i think that they will like it since i've not seen anyone do this yet for them. i've seen and heard of other raffle items but never a quilt yet!! hopefully it'll bring them lots of money for the cause.

That's a great idea! I know the one I used to belong to when I worked in the hospital had bake sales and that sort of thing, but I don't ever remember a quilt. Thanks for sharing.

I hope no one minds, but I want to give my 2 quilts to my daughter's MIL and SIL. Her MIL discovered her cancer was back for the 3rd time on Wednesday. Then her SIL's doctor called about 1/2 hour later and told her she also has cancer and it has spread, These two ladies are good friends and can really use a lift. What is a good size for a comforting quilt you can also carry to chemo or riding in the car? Any suggestions?

A nice size lap would be great. I would not make it any larger than 54 x 68, smaller maybe.
